I need to get serious now about mailing my enteries in.
I want them all mailed before we leave for Calif. - 3 wks time.

First - I need direction about the Sacramento trial.
The AKC website shows Rebecca Sicco as the entry secretary.
Yet I rec'd an Entry Express card that they are handling the trial.
Who do I mail my entries to???

On the AKC website - there is no info for the
Calif. South Coast trial nor the Southern Calif. trial.
How can I enter these trials without any information?

Suggestions, help, anything!

Janice,

Those trials are definitely on the AKC website. Go to http://www.akc.org/events/search/ Put in "Retriever" for the club name and "field trial" under the event. Highlite "California" You should see both trials in March.

If you need a premium form San Diego Retriever & Field Trial Club, let me know.

Russ thank you so much.
I didn't know that website existed!
This is the website I had bookmarked
http://www.akc.org/events/static/index.cfm

It is still an active site but the March trials are listed with no info.
I had no idea another site was available - and it's an awesome one to boot.

So then, can there be two secretaries for a trial?
IE - Sac. trial - Entry Express and Rebecca?
Why would I choose one over the other?

Hi Jan

Try this address
http://www.akc.org/events/search
it is more refined. You can search by state and event and month.

Also check
http://www.entryexpress.net
There you will find quick entries to some trials. Entry Express handles the entries, the 'official' secretary handles the rest. It is slick as a whistle entrying via entry express, plus you can see how many dogs are entered.

Good Luck

Thanks Kris.......

I now know what the heck I'm doing!

Does anyone have an email address for Charlene or can
help me get a premium list mailed for California South Coast?
Where are people camping for that trial?
Is it ALL held at Wister - even the water?

Jan,

We have Charlie's phone numbers but somehow we do not have her email address.

There is primitive camping at Wister, hook ups at the County campground at Wiest Lake 20 miles or so to the south and there is better accomodations at the Fountain of Youth RV Resort several miles to the north.

The Wister trials also use Mel Miltons , Mag 7 & the Eh? Team properties.

Russ - you didn't suggest staying at the slabs :o
We took a drive in .... and a quick drive out ..... just for a cultural
experience

I'll give Charlie a ring.........

I hope you bought some postcards at GOD IS LOVE Mountain. Slab City is a unique cultural phenomenon. Bring your oops paint from the Home Depot next time.

Rebecca is the Event Secretary. She is utlizing EntryExpress to handle the entries. She will perform the draw, post the running order, etc... using the EE system. Mailed entries should be sent to EE, per the postcard. Official premium can be access at www.entryexpress.net
