Winger Electronics Question

I've been having a problem with my winger firing at long distances. I have been told that it would help if the electronics were mounted higher than where they are on the winger. This person had their's mounted on a fence post(like for electric fencing) and said it was reliable to around 350 yards.

So my question is, what type of wiring will I need to run from my winger (zinger winger) to the release(TT) if I mount the release on something other than the winger? Will the extension cable they sell work or is there something I can pick up locally?

I bought an extension cable from Radio Shack. I believe they offered 6' and 12' lengths.

When I was using the TT 150s I did the same as Jeff and bought a patch cord from Radio Shack. It worked fine. I haven't had the problem with their Pro Controls.
By the way, it was nice meeting you last weekend at the JRC trial.
