It's a 12V rechargeable battery that is close to 6 x 1 X 3 in size and is used for emergency lightinig units in hotels and such. They can likely be bought at any battery supply store.

I bought one on eBay.

There are a ton of sealed lead acid batteries on eBay....check the amp-hour rating on your old battery and search for for one that matches your rating.

I believe the max uses a 12volt 2.4 AH but I may be wrong on the amp hour

You can get the batteries at radio shack or any batter outlet around town. they run about $13.00.
