Read the summary on Refuge forums, sounds like a tough test. One NC gentleman's comment said a dog of Judy's never left the boat on a remote send  . He was fairly sure that one of Danny's made it through 8)

My understanding is that they have run 70 dogs. These were run from the bottom of the list up. Scott Grier in 1st ( not sure which dog,) and Joel Porter and Danny Farmer are tied for second. Dog 53 Tara is first dog to run in the morning.

Go Cooter! I wonder if he is the youngest dog in the top 12. He has to be right there it he is not.

A big congrats goes out also, to Stacey West with Rankin and her 2nd place finish. Also to Rankin's owners, Dave & Beverly Garcia. She was clean on the last 6 marks of the finals and 2 whistled the blind. Farmer had a clean set of marks and 1 whistled the blind. 3rd place had a clean set of marks and 3 whistled the blind. It was a heck of a set up in a swamp with tons of trees and fallen logs. A triple came out (really fast). On the way back with the last bird of the triple, a diversion was thrown and the honor dog got to pick this one up. The honor dog was the same for all of the competitors. After the honor dog picked up the diversion, you had to run a blind right up the middle. While your coming back with the blind, the duck calls are starting again. Once you get back up on the tree stand (where the dog is stationed for the marks) another (longer) triple comes out. So basically there are 6 marks, 1 blind, 1 diversion for the finals. A tough, but very fair series.
