: Snake River Trial
05-12-2007, 10:24 PM
1st: FTCH/AFTCH OTCH Stanely Steamer who now adds an FC/AFC to that and qualifies for both Nationals!!! O: John and Janice Gunn
H: John Hard to believe, but John was speechless when announced. He was truly overcome!
2nd: Millforge on a Roll O: Joe Augustyn H: Karl Gunzer
3rd: FC Md River's Maggie McBunn O: Mike Molthan: H: Mike Cicero
4th: Wham Bam on the Rocks O: Chris Bandl H. Karl Gunzer
RJ: Shadow's Whiteshoes O: Robert Heller H: Karl Gunzer
The waterblind was extremely demanding, and the last series ate them up. It was a very picturesque water triple. The current on both of these was going from right to left, and there was a very strong wind blowing from left to right!
I only heard two placements in the Qual:
1st: Midnight Sun Southpaw O; Joe Braverman H: Don Remien
2nd: Bighorm Buckey Badger----o/h: Bill Maeck
Hope I got 2nd right. I was in a holding blind in the Amateur and told it was "Bill" who got 2nd and I had heard Bill Maeck was in great shape. In looking through the program, he wasn't the only Bill!!!!

Congratulations to John and Janice, and of course to Stanley.
I believe I am correct in saying that Stanley is only the second Golden ever to be an FC AFC OTCH, the first being the late and great Eli.
Also, congratulations to Karl Gunzer, who earned a 2nd, 4th and RJ in the same Open.

Great accomplishment for such nice people all around!!

I am in awe, what an accomplishment! It would be a wonderful thing in a stand alone catagory. The Gunn's, not long ago finished TNT's Explosion's FC, and all the bazzillion titles he has. Then there is OTCH Tanbark's Orange Crush MH that is a real up and comer, AND NFTCH/AFTCH AFC TNT's Mr Peabody Prairemarsh.
When I told my dogs, they all dashed off to pack their bags and look into Canadien Citizenship. I don't blame them, I'd want to be a Gunn dog too. Gotta be a Gunn!
Congratulations to John and Janice, what nice people.
