Springs/Shocks

I have an 06 F-150 Supercrew 4 x 4.

My 3 hole box and drawers weigh approx 400 lbs and I am already getting a sloppy ride. With equipment and dogs, approx 700lbs, it will be worse.

Any recommendations? I have heard that another leaf in the springs will raise it some in the back and HD shocks will smoothe out the ride. Is this correct? If so, what kind of shocks?

I had the same problem with my f-150 and I installed a "Husky Spring Load Plus helper spring kit". Alot easier to install than another leaf and around $100.00 per set. I looked on the box but did not see a web site but I got them from Auto Value.

Add a leaf.With my topper I was getting flashed by P/O ed oncomming traffic at night,because my front end was high,and blinding them.When I added the kit....ride is wonderful,and no light problem.
