I have had one for about a year now and if seems to be well made and has preformed with out any problems. I use mine as a remote launcher with my son pulling the cord to fire it. I have not shot the bird with a shotgun yet. It is a less expensive alternative to the remote launchers and is kinda like a hand held launcher on a stand. The cord is 60' but you could make it longer, but it takes a minute or so to wind the cord around the base.

I got one for Christmas. If I had actually paid money for it I'd be disappointed. I'll be saving my money for wingers, derby doubles or some other training device with true remote launch. The 60 ft. cord is a PITA.

I haven't tried shooting at the dummy yet.

So I should just wait and save up for a derby double or the other remote launcher??
