The Chris Hailey Memorial HRC Hunt Test

It is with great honor that I announce the dates for the Chris Hailey Memorial Hunt Test. September 20th and 21st, just outside of Texarkana, TX.

4 States HRC is sponsoring this hunt test and it is HRC sanctioned so any points earned will count and ribbons will be awarded. This is basically an HRC test but with a larger purpose.

Many of you knew my nephew Chris, AKA Stumpy. It's hard to believe that he has been gone for just a couple months shy of a year. In his honor, a scholorship through the HRC Foundation was formed. One half of the funds raised through this test are going towards that scholorship.

The other half will go to a small foundation that does big work and was very close to Chris' heart: The Brady Barton Foundation. This Foundation raises money and gives funds directly to families whose children are being treated for cancer. They also go to MD Anderson in Houston and take gifts to the kids at Christmas and at other times. Brady was diagnosed with osteosarcoma not long after Chris and they became friends while being treated at MD Anderson. Sadly, Brady lost his life to the cancer after a few short years. His father started the foundation in his honor after seeing the need first hand.

Should anyone not be able to attend the hunt but would like to donate to this foundation go to: bradybartonfoundation.org for more information. All donations to the foundation are tax deductible. The same holds true for any donations to the HRC foundation, just note that it is for the Chris Hailey Memorial Scholorship.

The HT will be a great time. We are working on the list of judges and will have a premium out as soon as possible. We are also putting together a great raffle.

Please mark your calendars! 4 States always puts on a great test and this one will be extra special.

I hope you all can come help us celebrate Chris' life by doing three of the things he loved most: Working with the dogs, being with friends, and helping others.
