59 starters and 20 qualified in the Master.

First series, was a wide open triple, with a double land blind under the arc of the left hand flyer station.

Second series had an excellent "water blind from hell'', with a multitude of factors that lost 21 dogs. The double marks were by invitation.

Third series was a double water marks, simulating a tight wood duck hunt in the corner of the pond.

Great use of the grounds by the judges, no tricks, an very fair scoring by the judges. Lots of compliments!

I did very well, too!:)

That would be the one! Too bad the pics don't show how tough it really was.

Don't feel bad. There was many a MH that went out on that blind.
As one of the judges said, "It's a BIG DOG water blind".

Now you have something to train on this week!:)

Where was the bird placed?

In the first picture, looking just left of center is a small pine tree, apart from the group of pines, at the waters edge. At it's immediate right is an orange pole. You have to look close but you can see it. Duck was there.
Second picture is a little closer view.

Ok see it now. Was the line to the blind over the point or past the point? Either way looks liek a fun one.

Leave the line, drop down into the swampy water & weeds (sort of thick), about knee high and hopefully acoss the point on line to the blind. Some dogs took the right channel and that was not challenging the blind.
Most dogs went a little to a lot left and had to be handled back to the right to stay on the point. As the dogs crossed the point and got back into the water, they went out of sight for a second or two, and many were going left when seen again. Quick handles at that time were necessary to prevent the dogs from continuing to the left shore and beaching way too early.
Most handlers needed a hit from the oxegen bottle after running this blind!:)
