Congrats Tammy on your second in the puppy stakes. I'll bet that was a blast to watch those young ones. Hope to see their names again in the bigger stakes.

WooHoo to Lacy and Tammy on their first ribbon. And just to toot Lacy's horn a little, she was the youngest puppy!

The Puppy Stake is a great way to get "new" folks to come out and have some fun with their new puppy and watch what a field trial is all about. We had a great time and the judges we had were wonderful. They spent the time to show people what to do and helped the pups along the way. It was Fun, Fun, Fun. We had pups in age from 6.5 months to 11.75 months old. Labs, Goldens, and a Poodle.

All the marks were singles with just one gun in the field. The first was a shot flyer, second was a mark on land, third was a water mark as was the fourth. A great simulation of the way a stake is conducted with marshalls, holding blinds and all the sights and sounds of a trial. All the way to giving out the ribbons!

I think everyone involved had a good time. I know I did. But most of all "Lacy" had a wonderful experience too!

I just want to know who twisted Billy's arm to take a Sunday off to run a bunch of dogs in the Qualifying.

As usual, thanks for posting Tammy. Maybe one day we'll actually run one of these rather than just enter only to end up scratching.

Not a favorite of the FT secretaries lately regards:(,

Melanie
