Hotter n Hell. If it's 100 degrees in Denver it's hotter than that in Ft. Collins.

The wind doesn't blow....

The first series in the Open was a Quad, birds anywere from 100 yards to 160 ,with an out of order flier (3rd bird) , This took place in a shallow draw and the second and fourth birds were close to inline and in the middle, not long marks but if the dog was on the wrong side of the wind, a few went way long and had to be handled back, so it was alot tougher than it looked. I shot the fliers with another guy for the first 40 dogs and had to leave, Seen some awesome dogs from my vantage point I really liked one of I believe Barbara Howards dogs (I think that his her name) Just nailed the marks. And it was very hot, you could watch the dogs slow down going to the 3rd and 4th marks. Sorry that is all I know, wont be there today my daughter is becoming a MOM today and will be at the hospital to see this new little bundle of joy!! Kevin

There was a breeze that was coming from the NE and down the shallow draw, but after 6 to 8 dogs changed to the south east or up the draw, and made a few dogs miss the scent and go really deep and have to be handled.
