I don't know how the derby finished but because of the weather the 1st/2nd series was a double double land combined. We hit a stumphole on the first go bird and did a 3.5 somersault gainer combo and he never got his head back together and I picked up on the memory bird. I only watched 4 dogs run and then left and only one finished out of the four. I would like to see the results also and Bobby i expect to see some ribbons.

Can anyone tell me what is going on here? I know the weather sucked, but did they get through it and who did what?

any word on the qual?

Are you telling us that your pro does not call and let you know how your dogs did at the trial? Maybe if you paid Mr. Atthur a little more he could afford to call.

I cannot tell you much but here is the little I do know.

27 dogs entered and 9 back after the land marks. The land mark test would have been an excellent Qual level test except for the fact that they used the same field as the derby, ran from the same spot and positioned each qual mark including the long retired gun mark on the same line but deep of the location of derby marks from Friday. Obviously they had some reasoning for this setup that escapes me, but one has to wonder given the callbacks.

The nine dogs back were:
#1 Po / Karen Peterson (Flat Coat)
#3 Maddie-Kat / Swinton Anderson
#5 Ida / George Fiebelkorn
#7 Buddy / Jim Pickering
#11 Ripley / Hugh Arthur owner David Baty
314 Chase / Pete Janke
#18 Puck / Hugh Arthur
#19 PC / Mark Menzies
#20 Itzy / Rick Millheim

The second series was a double blind, one land and one water. I picked up on the water blind and headed home, but did hear that only 5 dogs were called back to the water marks. Obviously #7 was not back and I was told the #1 and #3 were not back. However, that leaves one more that was not called back to the water marks.

As respects placements I was told that 1st went to dog #19 and that 3rd place went to dog #5. So Ripley could have been the other dog dropped after the blinds or he could have gotten 2nd.

Thanks for the info. Ripley was called back for the water marks and apparently missed the long gun and had a big hunt. RJ for him. Normally would not run Q's but he's not QAA yet, so we'll try it again next weekend in a 50....................... dog "Q" ??? We'll also run the AM
