this is what's 'slipping under the radar'. Help put a stop to it. This is just a first for what's to become an era of vigilance for conservatives, if we are to have any say in our nation not going so socialistic we can never bring it back, regardless of who's POTUS, or in congress. Please stay informed.

The problem is republicans in congress are political cowards when it comes to dealing with the democrat leadership and to a greater extent the liberal media.

There isn’t anything we can do until the liberal majority newspapers die (in process) and liberal networks lose their monopoly. Centrist network Fox News is just the beginning. When there is a network that is as conservative as NBC is liberal there will be a chance. If that doesn’t happen in the near future our nation will become firmly socialist.

BTW, I am not sure there is any hope. I expect the socialists will win.

I know you're being realistic, Joe, but I'm like an old steer...just can't ever give up. I may never get anywhere with this, but I'll keep on fighting for what is right.

And while some in our camp have thrown the likes of Rush and the other conservatives to the wolves, they are the last voice we have. When they are taken off the radio, then the nation will have total socialism running amuck, and then the leftists will see complete anarchy as the only means to get back, what our forefathers fought and gave their lives for.

What is so amazing to me, is how willingly so many on a BB such as this, are allowing their freedoms to be legislated away. Believe me when I say, viewing what's about to happen with an "I told you so" attitude, is not a happy position to be in...kinda like being in the boat that the majority were throwing chum over the side, encouraging the great white to bite a hole in the bottom...and all we have is a coffee cup to drain the leak. We are all going down with this sinking ship.

Agreed, the combo of the leftists and RINOs have brought this plague on this nation, and I'm sure your correct in your realistic assessment. I apologize to the following generations that will have to deal without the freedoms I was allowed to enjoy during my lifetime. Between my fathers and my generations apathy for not keeping guard of the henhouse, we have allowed the hyenas to take over.

But they won't hold it very long. Oh sure, they will continue to control every aspect of life, for as we have been warned many times, when sheeple discover they can vote in folks that will provide for them by taking it away from those that have it, that's what will be running the country.

That will last, however, only as long as those that have it allow to be gouged. Eventually, they will shrug, and those that have no knowledge of how to survive on their own, will become a hoarde of maggots that will feed on themselves.

This may all play out by 12-21-2012, as many of the ancients have predicted. I have my doubts that God is that transparent, and so easily devined by humans. My faith is in a Deity with far more 'up His sleeve' than what the majority of the denominations are seeing.

It is an interesting time; certainly one to abide by the old adage of "keeping our powder dry". I'm thankful for being positioned physically in the state I'm living in. While you read stories of how corrupt we are "PER CAPITA", it's like the percentage myths that the MSP is so into, along with their 'polling' stories they live by. What a pathetic source of information they have become.

Stay safe, Joe. May the force be with you.

That's not the problem at all. The problem is that the Republicans still haven't figured out that the majority of America thinks that there are bigger issues than whether two people of the same sex get married, when a mother chooses to make the heartwrenching decision to terminate a pregnancy, or that the religious right has no business making policy.

When conservatives finally realize that conservatism means spending less, protecting civil rights, and staying out of people's private lives, I'll rejoin them. Until then, I'll call myself an independent.

You may call yourself an independent if you want, all evidence to the contrary.

Just a few things. This is the typical paranoia and fear mongering that infects the far right. When we talk about legislating freedoms away there has been no bigger offender than Bush. Actually there was no such thing as legislation, he just took them away with his beliefs in a Unitary Executive and dubious legal claims from his buddies at the Justice Department. I can remember the same end of the world scenarious being projected in op-eds and right leaning newspapers (IBD) when Clinton became president.
Regarding the Fairness Doctrine that your link mentions the fact is that during the 110th Congress 2007-2009 which was controlled by the Dems their has been no Introduction of the Fairness Doctrine. The other problem is that President Obama opposes it.

Speaker Pelosi's change to The motion to Recommit if it does nothing else it will make the Dems responsible for their legislation.

UB I applaud your dedication to your cause and would encourage you to continue to fight for what you believe. I think though a deeper look and some objectivity into what some of the far right is promoting would serve you well and probably diminish some of the anxiety your are experiencing.
