I heard on Fox News yesterday, and it might have been a "tongue-in-cheek" comment, that the IRS is going to issue "IOUs" instead of refund checks this year.

I sure hope I heard wrong.....anybody hear anything about this?

It was not the IRS, but rather a state government (NY, NJ...???) becasue they did not have enough for "refunds". Or at least that is the story I saw on Fox

If that is actually the case and they do issue me an IOU...

Then my reaction will be to offer the same on my 2009 taxes I pay each paycheck.
