Down a thousand,
Down a thousand,
Down a thousand or more,
Into the Valley of Recession
Rode Congress and the Senate
“Forward the treasury”
“Spend for the Economy!” he said,
Into the Valley of Recession,
Rode Congress and the Senate.

“Forward the treasury”
Was there a bank dismay'd
Not tho' the senate knew
Someone had blunder'd:
Their's not to make reply,
Their's not to reason why,
Their's but to spend and sigh:
Into the Valley of Recession
Rode Congress and the Senate

Bailouts to the left of them,
Bailouts to the right of them,
Bailouts in front of them,
Spend and Borrowed:
Storm'd at with banks and loans,
Boldly they spent like drones,
Into the valley of Depression
Into the Nations Collapse,
Rode the Elected.

Spent the economy bare,
Money thrown in the air,
Taxing AIG bonuses there,
Borrowing money, while
All the world Wondered.
Borrowed the Saudi’s broke,
Dollars value up in smoke,
Democrat and Republican.

Do you think Alfred Lord Tennyson would apporve?

The Last of the Light Brigade by Runyard Kippling was going to be my fist choice, but the Alfred Lord Tennyson Charge of the light Brigage was easier to make a stock market parody.

Good one, Richard! Still don't know why Romney did not catch on with normal folks.
