Both made by same company, but one marketed for dogs and one for humans.
Question: Is Cosamin DS safe for dogs?

Hi Tom, I use Cosequin DS for dogs but have never tried the product for humans. I looked at ordering the Cosequin for horses one time as it seemed to be more economical in the large bucket container. However, I found that it was not the same formula for horses and dogs. The same ingredients were in both but different amounts, so I assumed each of the products were designed for the animal they were sold for.
I order mine at www.entirelypets.com (http://www.entirelypets.com). I am a loyal Cosequin user but paying for it is painful!

I meant to say Cosamin ASU, not plain Cosamin (doesn't appear to be a big difference)
I too, have used Cosaquin DS for a number of years, but was looking into getting one product for both of us. Agree, paying for it can be painful, 70 dollars for 250 chewable from EntirelyPets.
