So would the Dems! (and high-end clothing retailers)

The clothing allowance might be just what this country needs to pull itself out of the recession! ;-)

Now there is "SUBSTANCE!!"

Just curious, did you listen to what she said?

I really like this woman, Rep. Bachman. She is clear, concise, articulate and accurate.

Pairing her with Mrs Palin would be a huge mistake nor do I think she would welcome that pairing.

it is obvious that some people do not care what the current regime is doing. they would rather debate issues that are non issues!

Have you followed her political career at all?
Take a look at some of her interviews and quotes here. http://www.thebachmannrecord.com/thebachmannrecod.html

Please feel free to point out any specific inaccuracies or out of context statement of significance. The videos linked to the second site look interesting too.

That would make her the antithesis of Sarah Palin.

No I haven't, I just liked her comments on the link in the first post. She is correct about our new gangster administration though.

Her other views do expose her as a loon.

Thanks for enlightening me.

Franco,

Glad I could help. I tried a search on "keep Bachmann" too, in order to be fair and balanced. That was just as interesting as the search on "Bachmann quotes" and does not help her cause. I really like her bill to give Americans freedom to choose their type of light bulb.

Franco, this person is a breath away from complete lunacy. We have much better and need her gone. No one with any sense takes her serious.

I didn't vote for Al Franken. As I said before I don't vote for professional rasslers and professional funnymen.

So I will not recant. Bachman is a loon. She is one of our state birds.

Road Kill set you standards higher. I have met Bachman, man what a loon. Approximately 3 weeks age she spent a considerable amount of time meeting with what? The owner of Stillwater motors in Stillwater Minn. She then went through the dealership telling all the employess how she was going to keep Gm from closing them down. So with watching that video, what a 2face.

I really like Bachman. Every time I hear her talk she makes a lot of sense, but then again I'm not going out of my way to dig something up on her. I think you may be talking about Fury motors in Lake Elmo; which is about 4 miles from my house, and they seem to be one of the dealerships that got a rough deal.

Loon or not I don't follow that close. But she made some good points. An imperial presidentcy, 20 czars. The current administration doesn't think anything of tramppling the constitution if it fits their adgenda. I still think that we will one day soon be saying king obama instead of president.:(

Good point. If we don't watch out, next he'll be instructing the CIA to withhold information from congress and funnelling non-competitive contracts worth billions to former chums.

Nah, I don't do talking points.

The whole thing sounded like decoy or diversion to me anyway. I just don't know if its coming from Cheney or the Obama folks. Both would rather us focus on some BS, and let them carry out their agendas unimpeded by such distractions as constitutional consideration!

"My Boy?" I keep telling you I don't worship EITHER major party. They both are self-serving entities that have damaged this country lately. It's so much easier to point out Bush's travesties, as he just came off 8 years. Give Obama some time, the lobbyists will get to him.

I agree, with most of that portion of your statement...

The way I see it, it has taken 8 years and actually only the last 2 years for people to find a few major bones to pick with Bush...

It has only taken 7 months to find A LOT of MAJOR bones to pick with the current blunder.

NCA

Back to the topic, I like a lot of what she said, and have seen her speak on a few of the major broadcasters (that call themselves NEWS agencies) and really can't find much to disagree with her about. Her ideas are sound, thoughts well intended (in regards to the broad spectrum of Americans) and I dont give much thought to the quotes that were posted about her mishaps while speaking...many things can be cut and reconstructed and then made to have a different meaning and message than was origionally intended..

My sentiments exacatly. But any good independent will not be able to carry a major election. So what are your options? Make a statement and vote independent and "waste a vote" or vote for a major party?

I'm not sure I agree with that... H.Ross Perot had a damn good shot at it before he dropped out then re-entered the race. If Obama screws the pooch, which it looks like he is, and Americans don't yet trust the republicans, this land may be ripe for a fiscally conservative, socially moderate independent??

Don't get me wrong I would love to see and I think it would be great for the country to elect an independant. But there are IMO more voters that don't know or follow what is going on so they vote straight ticket of their party. I also believe that most of them are leftys.
MN did vote in Jesse but I think the reason that happened is neither of the parties took him serious and made him address the issues or discussed his record as a mayor. They have also voted in Franken so what does that say.

To quote Ron White, "YOU CAN'T FIX STUPID!"

Listening to anyone involved in Minnesota politics is total insanity. Their DFL would chop off their nose to spite their face. The epitome of the term "SHEEPLE".

OK, I watched her interveiw.
Saw nothing that would warrant the attacks from the left.
Well except she beleives in the constitution, that probably scares you secular progressives a bit.

So...what is it that causes you to hate on her?
I mean other than the marching orders from Rahm & Obama??
