Dog hair clogging exhause fan screen

My dog box has an exhaust mounted on top like most others. There are holes cut in the top of the box and then there is a screen below the fan blades and motor. Hair gets sucked up and clogs the screen. the only was to clean it is to lay on your back, stick a screwdriver thru the holes and scrape the hair off the screen. Then when the hair falls down, vaccume it thru the holes. About a 30 min process.

Any ideas about how to solve this?

I was thinking of making a 15 bu 15 inch screen and screwing it to the top of the box. Then I would just have to vaccume that screen.

use a filter. like a house vent filter.duck tape it on. pull hair off every so often?!.

Get a poodle. They don't shed (as much) :p

I agree with tomhunter....the solution involves putting some type of disposable filter on it.

Might even be able to screw a cheap, house-type filter between the fan and the box (or do the manly thing and use duct tape :).
