This is very sad to see this happening. It's unimaginable to me.

You couldn't pay me enough money to live in Detroit. They don't call it Sh*t City for nothing.

Wow, that's sad and scary. The scary part is, it won't be just Detroit in that situation if we don't get jobs back in this country, preferably manufacturing jobs. During past slow-downs, we always had a manufacturing base that could be re-invigorated with a turn around in the economy, and compete and succeed. I don't know how we recover without that.

I was there two weeks ago visiting a friend. He owns six of those cheap homes. His average purchase price is $8500 and each one rents out around $1,000/mo. They are section 8 houses and he is guranteed $900 from the Government, the balance paid by the tenant.

AFLCIO,IBEW,TEAMSTERS,ect have killed the MFG base in this country and it will never come back. Unions are no different than the DO-DO bird,
extinct. Why would anyone want to invest Billions of capital in these third world cities with third world politicians and third world inhabitants???
There is a reason Nissan is mfg in Mississippi,Subaru/Kentucky,Hyundia & Mercedes Alabama, Kia Georgia,Toyota Texas............No Union Thugs!

I got news for ya, don't get too comfortable. Dixie is next. I helped move two major manufacturing plants out of Dixie and off shore. The supply of cheap labor is essentially infinite, it's only a matter of time.

Yup, Mississippi is paradise...
