Treasure Coast Retriever Club, put on it's annual Fall HT this past weekend in south FL. Chaired by Corey Burke the test was run flawless as usual. The grounds were in outstanding condition and one could tell the judging was top-notch. A wonderful tailgate was put on by the club Saturday night.

Fellow RTFer, Scott C and Corey were constantly working hard so the rest of us could have fun and run dogs.

If you would enjoy running a FT in the dead of winter, on some great grounds, consider entering the club's first FT (Derby/Q) January 2-3, 2010.

Congratulations, TCRC, Judges and Corey on a job well done. It's great to see a participant that understands and appreciates how much work goes into a GOOD test. It should be every retriever club's goal to put on a successful positive test.

Jim, thanks for the plug on our field trial.

Our hunt test this weekend went off without a hitch other than the 90 degree temps it was a perfect weekend. When you have a good group of core members and some of the hardest working bird boys I have ever seen it almost seemed easy.

Corey ran a good show, especially at the tailgate on Saturay night. And it wasn't all work for me I had some fun running our Joe Black pup Thunder to his Junior title at 13 months old, I was so proud of him, I never put a leash on him or held his collar all weekend.

Here is a pick of him with his ribbons.

Giving credit where credit is due Amy and Boomer with their first master pass. Our dogs are home schooled so it takes a while;)

Thanks for the kind words. The success of an event lies in what those who attended and spent their hard earned money to participate think about it. I appreciate you mentioning me specifically but I cannot take credit for how smoothly everything went. I was but a small part and this was a massive group effort. Nobody works harder than our core group of members and we pretty well have it down to a science these days. Macy, Randall, John, Scott C, Scott P, Mike, Dennis, Karen Greg, and the others I am sure I am forgetting right now spend countless hours making our events as well as club training days run so well. I canít tell you how great our judges were and how much each of them gives back, we canít do it without them. Thanks to all of these people but also thanks to the participants who came out in the heat and had a great time.
We have three more events this season including our first FT.Come on down. FT is the first weekend in January followed by an AKC HT the end of the month and an HRC test the first of April.

Why does that seem such an appropriate picture of Boomer with his tongue out:razz:. Congrats again on both Boomer and Thunder
