Putting Palin one heartbeat from the presidency? No.

Have you heard the latest on her? She didn't know why there is a North and South Korea. She didn't understand what WWI and WWII were about. She couldn't explain who her son was going to Iraq to fight.

The woman was not qualified to be anywhere near the White House.

If you really believe that, you might be dumber than you say she is. All of that came from McCain handlers trying to blame someone for their icredibly inept campaign. Give me a break.

I made that judgement about her by watching her in action during the election. If fact, I know life long Republicans who voted for Obama because they made the same judgement that I did about her. Hearing about it from McCain handlers just reinforces what I had already concluded. Unless she had a script to practice and regurgitate, she was totally inept, like a deer in the headlights. In fact, last year I was concerned that she was mentally unstable. Now we learn that the McCain campaign was concerned about the same thing.

Typical Republican response. You disagree, so you insult my intelligence. Then you'll belly ache that this is what Liberals do.

What the hell was I thinking??? You are still too far in the tank, with far too many sword wounds to be "seeing the light". My bad. You are beyond redemption, despite what you say. You DO want this nation to sink into socialism.

And please don't send me any more of your 4-letter word private messages. I realize it allows you to speak in your more familier 'gutterspeak', but if you can't express yourself in the vernacular used on this BB, then keep your sycophantic mouth shut.

Being deathly afraid of an incompetent like Palin being anywhere near the White House has nothing to do with being in the tank for anyone. If she ever gets anywhere close to the levers of power in this country, our days are numbered.

If only the conservatives could have gotten as "fearful" of Obama as you lefties are of Palin, we might have not allowed him "close to the levers of power in this country". But we screwed up, and now he's in that position, so you can understand why we are saying,"our days ARE numbered".

I didn't see any shouting. What would you consider merited arguments. She showed herself to be incompetent during the election. Now McCain advisors come out and verify what was plain for everyone to see last fall, and you still deny it. So, you insult my intelligence.

It's plain why Republicans made such a stink about Reid's comments. They want to throw up as much white noise as possible to obscure what was said in the same book about their hero, Palin.

Roger, a couple of bumbled answers in an interview don't mean anything. Ever see the video of Obambi when the telepromter broke when he was discussing health care? The one where he said if you had asthma, just get a "breathalyzer"? The crowd there was laughing at him and he said "hold on I can't hear myself". Remember that little gem?

I lived in Alaska for 21 years and was there when Palin became Mayor. People have mis-underestimated (to use a Bush-ism) her every step of the way. Most have found themselves sittting there saying "what happened?" after she steamrolled them. If you guys want to keep kidding yourselves that she is not a threat to your leaders, go right ahead.

Sarah Palin has some appeal in the southeast and Alaska but, that it. She will not be supported by Independents or moderate Republicans. Her appeal is too small and narrow.

I don't think the GOP would be that dumb in giviing her the nomination, they know she has very limited appeal. She is a good fit on Fox News next to Huckabee but, as a Presidential candidate, she will ensure 4 more years of Obama.

I'm a conservative and there is no way I would vote for her. I would vote 3rd party before I would vote for her. She would be like Obama in the fact that she is not qualified to be POTUS. Obama can only hope that Palin is the GOP nomination!

That is a very true statement.

Her new show on Fox news is called "Hair and Unbalanced" according to David Letterman.......the same Letterman that McCain ducked on the campaign while he was rushing from NY to Washington.......which took something like 3 days.....one of the biggest political faux pas in history...at least when he got to Washington he voted for the bill Obama was supporting....The Repub's that were in office and the ones that ran for office were simply inept ..... until the Republican party re-invents itself to appeal to the mainstream they will not be a contributing factor or competition........and if this board is any indication I don't see any Repub's who believe the party, the message, and the platform need an overhaul

Oh contrare....I think most Conservatives on here believe that the message and platform needs a major overhaul....back to its conservative roots...not trying to be a wishy washy McCain type RINO...it doesnt need to be radical right, just embrace some of the core principles that made the conservative movement what it should be...no doubt the party needs fresh blood and fresh faces....the John McCains, and Trent Lotts need to let the younger guard like the Tim Pawlenty and John Thune lead the party...the Republican Party can still be the conservative party without being hijacked by the ultra religious right

my view of POTUS in a nutshell:
http://www.outdoorsphotographyusa.com/obamaeaglemed2.jpg

appropriately enough, i took the pic of the eagle in Alaska. i boldly wear the tshirt i made with this on front and back, it was a great hit at Houston Tea Party and the Hannity concert, i was 3 people away from getting it signed by Oliver North but the book signing ended. darn. my wife convinced me not to wear it to the Sheila Jackson Lee townhall, but next time i will!

I don't agree.

Given the choice of Obama vs Palin, my 3rd Party vote would be in support of the 3rd Party candidate. No way could I support either Obama or Palin!

I do agree that if Palin were to be the GOP nomination that it would hand the election to Obama.

Looking back at the last election, I wish I had voted for Ron Paul instead of McCain.
