Obama wants to get our money back! Sounds great, but another tax? This part doesn't make much sense to me....

The proposed 0.15 percent tax on the liabilities of large financial institutions would apply only to those companies with assets of more than $50 billion -- a group estimated at about 50. Administration officials estimate that 60 percent of the revenue would come from the 10 biggest ones.

They would have to pay up even though many did not accept any taxpayer assistance and most that did have repaid the infusions.

Heck, he just committed 100million plus dollars and aide to Haiti. Get ready for the flood of Haitian refugees! Obama is going to need all the Democrats he can get for 2012.

The proposed 0.15 percent tax on the liabilities of large financial institutions

The banks have tightened up on lending. Govt wants them to do more lending. And this would be an incentive to make more loans, how? Am I misunderstanding something here?
