The Trail of Tears HRC is proud to announce our upcoming spring hunt tests, to be held at Arrowhead Lodge in Wolf Lake, IL on March 6th -7th. Arrowhead is a premier waterfowl hunting lodge in Southern Illinois. Our tests will be set up in actual hunting locations, lending to the realism of the tests. The club will also be hosting a Saturday evening banquet and raffle, also held at the lodge. For more information or to register, follow the link listed below for premium info.

Trail of Tears HRC needs entries in all levels for our March 6th and 7th Hunt @ Arrowhead in Wolf Lake, Illinois. This club has rebuilt from only 4 members this time last year, to over 20 now. Things have really turned around for Trail of Tears. Last fall we put on our smoothest hunt ever, according to one of the few remaining original members. This is the clubs first attempt at a spring hunt and first attempt at having a Saturday night banquette. We have great grounds, should be mostly lunging to running water in actual hunting conditions. I know it is early in the season, but this should be one heck of a hunt. Please contact us as soon as possible, as we will need to be making the decision on number of flights, birds, meals, whether to have a hunt, etc, in the next few days.

Our premium can be found at http://www.huntingretrieverclub.org/PREMIUMS/Trail%20of%20Tears%202010%203-6%20&%203-7.pdf

You can contact Leigh Jinks Hunt Secretary 573-803-7779 or my self @ 573-803-7778

Hope to see y'all there!

Here's some motivation if you're on the fence about making the hunt test. We'll be having smoked brisket at the Saturday night banquet that will melt in your mouth!

Scott, I would be glad to come run your test if I had been able to get any of my dogs wet http://www.refugeforums.com/ubb/frown.gif. I have 3 young dogs (less than 1 1/2) that have not seen any water this winter. Water blinds over frozen lake does not = good results...I duck hunt over in Il and would be able to visit some of my buddies.

The grounds are looking great! And the weather forcast is sunny and highs near 60. NO HARD WATER!!!!! Looks like we will be dropping to one flight of finished. Still have a few finished spots, and plenty of Seasoned and Started spots.

We realize water work has been an issue up untill the last couple weeks. Because of this we are waveing all late fee's. If you want to come, entry fees will be what is posted on premium. Please email premiums ASAP to cut down on the line Saturday AM.
