Seems they don't want our advice!

http://www.lifesitenews.com/ldn/2010/mar/10033108.html

I especially like this quote;

'Reacting to Clinton's comments, Mary Ellen Douglas, national organizer for Campaign Life Coalition (CLC), told LifeSiteNews (LSN), “How dare she stick her pro-abortion nose into Canadian politics. Hasn't she done enough damage to the unborn in the U.S.?”'

I assume you know that abortion is legal throughout Canada and is required to be funded by Canadian health services.

Idk if the first article is clear enough but the whole thing is over Canadian strategy in 3rd world countries. Not Canadian Health Care.

Some of you may find reading the comments at the bottom of this story entertaining. Apparently we aren't all socialist zombies with synchronized opinions.

I think what Mary Ellen said is pretty clear.

This is as well;

'Conservative MP Brad Trost criticized Clinton for “pok[ing] her nose in areas that are not her business.”

“Canada can make up its own mind on what its policy is on maternal health care and how we define it,” he said. “The Prime Minister has taken the lead in an initiative to help women's health and rather than trying to interfere in Canada's policies by playing up to a domestic American political audience in her own party, she (Clinton) should stick to more fruitful international matters.”'

The relevance is that you are citing an article about Canadian conservatives who are trying to make sure that maternal health services provided in third world nations by G8 countries do not include any information about or support for abortion or family planning services. When Clinton criticizes that position and notes that the U.S. opposes such an approach, they are complaining that she is sticking her nose into Canadian business. It seems to me that the "Canadian perspective" on these issues is reflected pretty well in Canadian law which not only allows these services to be provided legally but finances them through public health care programs. In addition, things being proposed for the G8 are international initiatives in which the US has a compelling interest as a leading member of the consortium.

I cited an article about Canadians telling Hilary to shut up, mind her own business and grandstand elsewhere.
I'll bet dnf's 6 year old could figure that out.;-)

Maybe you should go back and read what they were complaining about. I did, and it was as I described.

I keep forgetting, you are the SOLE POSSESOR of the truth.

Nothing else matters unless the resident secular progressive says so.

Why don't you go train your dogs.....oh, wait....my bad....

The people I quoted told Ms. Clinton to mind her own business.
I love it!!:D

That fact that it was Clinton was probably meaningless. It could have been any American and the MP would have said the same thing. We have idiots up here who can vote too. Flash out some mild anti-American sentiments and you pick up some brownie points with a couple of them.

We feel the same way about Canadians opinion when it comes to our politics, so I can see her point.

I see what you did there hehe...

In my opinion she can say whatever she wants. No one has to listen to her. We're far too connected for our politics to not be intertwined in some manner. For example, I believe that if it wasn't because of US pressure and the shitstorm it would cause at the border, marijuana would have been legal up here years ago.
