It's like when we were in college and had to write an essay requiring a certain number of words. Bullshit became a symphony.

OK Joe, I only opened the first link. Did you really watch all four? That may be your fault then. Watching youtubes of political speech's may be an addictive pre-occupation, which I would caution you to not invest time in.

Politicians, of all stripe and fancy, tend to lean toward hyperbole, and outright fantasy, of all types and situations.

Be smarter... make your own decisions.

Nah, I watched about half of the last one and a bit of the first and scanned the article. But, recent events are clearly showing the guy is pretty much a wind bag.

Well...I did say "politicians"...of "all stripe and fancy".

I won't deny your observations, but...please...who you got going for your side these days?

More bags o' wind?

One of the same 'ol same 'ol come 2012?

Admit it.

You, me, everyone, is stuck with the same old POS alternatives coming up this fall, and 2012.

KOAGB,

JD

PS We could try to be responsible citizens and quit playing the partisan games we all play, but trully, I doubt that a unifying candidate will ever come along, regardless of affiliation, and we will all suffer for it in the long run.

The opposing sides in the current political debates will continue to have us at one another until we face a greater outside threat that brings us together.

That threat will come, and how we meet it, will tell. It may well have already come, but we're not facing it very well.

It is extremely rare for any politician to answer a difficult question in a straightforward manner. Some of the reason for this is the fault of the interviewers who for many reasons would rather remain non combative than pursue an answer relentlessly.
An interesting article on this practice can be found here: http://www.salon.com/news/opinion/glenn_greenwald/2010/03/31/journalism/index.html

Holding accountable journalists may be as important as doing the same for politicians.

Honest journalism is another matter completely. I still believe that the most heinous crime committed by journalists is the sin of omission, not currying favor. But that’s just me.

JD

You have to admit, this guy takes the non-answer filibuster to an art form.

In the end, I think they are all dirt bags. I expect some honestly went into the job with high ideals and the thought of doing an important job well. We have to play the partisan game because we (you and I and our respective contemporaries) disagree so philosophically about how we view the nation and the direction we want it to go or stay in for that matter.

So while I dislike my dirt bag politicians, I pretty much loath yours.

During the 911 crisis, that showed itself to be true, but shortly after, if I remember correctly, your side was the side that wouldn’t honor the theory of keeping politics at the waters edge.

I expect this crisis will be financial and our solutions will be different with both sides blaming the other.

partisanship is alive and well, here and there.

Oddly enough, that began to happen when Bush switched his attention from the terrorists who brought us 9/11 to Iraq, and then decided he could use support for an Iraqi invasion as a partisan wedge issue.

That is one theory.

I find him a much less impressive orator when he is speaking extemporaneously. And the little gimmick of someone in the audience fainting is getting "old".

Good enough for your favorite former newscaster, am I not allowed to do another form of a Ratherism?

IT WAS A JOKE ! YOU REALLY ARE THIN SKINNED!

What IS unbelievable is your attemp at being what you can't prove...an independant. You can slam Bush, but can't abide a joke about your beloved messiah.

Believe me when I say, I can commiserate with you. When you took that oath to Hippocrates, you thought it was hypocrasy, and you've been trying to live up to it by claiming to be an independant. But you are missing by a mile. Your acclaimed hate for Bush, Palen, Rush, Beck and all things conservative, along with all your support for all things liberal, have you pegged for what you are, so come out of the closet and fess up...you are a flaming liberal.

As a governmental kept physician, I wish you all the best with this new healthcare mandate. May you continue to do and follow the Obama edicts, so no one can ever blame you for not being a good little leftist soldier.

Lighten up! Your side won, remember? It's our turn to be snide, like you were a few years ago when your most feared nightmare was in the Whitehouse.

And if you still haven't had enough Bush/Palen jokes to keep you amused, and a void of Obama jokes that make you equally elated, just tune in to your favorite nite time talking head. They will keep you in stitches, and never utter a discouraging word about your precious leader.

Really, you can stop wasting your time trying to convince me that I need to "prove" or justify my beliefs to YOU. As for bringing my profession into this again, I'm not even going to respond. We've been there before, and you don't warrant any more attention in that matter.

As for categorizing me, knock yourself out. Your opinion matters about as much to me as what fills ostomy bags. I *could* list my opinions of you, but that would likewise be a waste of time, hurtful, and not appropriate for this forum. Besides, I think your comments make your positions on race relations and the color of our president quite obvious.

How appropriate. When all thought leaves your mind, which I suspect is frequent...you can always play the 'race' card.

Nothing in the liberal thought process allows for anyone making a joke about your messiah, but your crowd can place out Messiah in a jar of urine, and you don't find that the least bit hateful.

It is what it is.
Stereotyping fried chicken and watermelon (two of my favorites, BTW) is patently racist, as would the vast of Americans agree, at least in that context.

I find urns of urine neither hateful, good, or bad. Its just disgusting. But please, tell me how I really feel. Only you seem to know. Back to the dogs.
