Looking for reviews on a good shotgun shell reloader, not the basic model and not the cadilac model. The middle of the road model that will do it all.

Thanks
Dave

Check out the MEC grabber, which I belive is the most basic progressive loader you can get. How many shells will you load? That is the big factor.

Do ahead and buy a Dillion. If you don't now you will in the near future. Plus if you get out of shooting they have really good resale value unlike some other brands.

Go to Shotworld.com and check out the reloading section. I would agree that Dillion is king when it comes to metallic reloading (rifle and pistol), but for shotgun reloading, you want a Mec. A sizemaster will load some very nice shells, but it is a single stage press and can be a little slow compared to a Grabber or 9000 G. The quality of loads are the same, it just depends on how much you want to spend for speed.

MEC 9000G if you plan to load any volume at all.

The Dillon is supposed to be very nice. I have an older Ponsess-Warren and feel it is more solidly build than the MECs that I've owned. I've heard that the newer Ponsess-Warrens aren't as well made as the older ones, but it would be another brand to check out.
