Johnny Winter is the original tattooed rocker!

I've seen him a bunch in New Orleans playing with everyone from his brother Edgar to Greg Allman, Dicky Betts, to Jerry LeCroix and Dr John.

Never been to those clubs in Vicksburg. Everytime I've been there I end up at the Confederate Cemetary and museum/battlefield.

In thier early days they use to play the Warehouse on Tchoupitalas Street 6 to 8 times a year, always on a Saturday night. Then, they would play for free in City Park atthe old Pops Fountain stage.

I can remember many sunny Sunday afternoons, laid out on the green grass listening to them recoving from being at the Warehouse till dawn listening to them jam with others after they played thier sets.

Those were the days!
