As anyone surprised? Haven't we seen criminal activity in other black organizations like Acorn and Black Panthers before?

Court records show Greene was arrested in November and charged with showing obscene Internet photos to a University of South Carolina student, then talking about going to her room at a university dorm.

Nowhere does it say the College student was a minor nor does it say anwhere that he was charged with Child pornography. Get your facts straight.

Greene was also asked to withdraw from the primary by the state party organization, but we know from prior threads that most conservatives on this forum believe that interferes with voters' rights if done by Democrats. Fortunately, no one has particularly paid attention to this is because the district is virtually a guaranteed win for Republicans unless DeMint manages to get caught soliciting sex from a minor (although I suspect he would be reelected even then). I expect that the candidate will receive zero support from the party, but there is nothing that the party can do to remove him from the ballot.

By the way, why is it a crime for one person in a computer lab to show another person in the computer lab a web site page for a porno site when both people are legally adults? I can fully understand a rather nasty retort to an obnoxious person, but how does this become a felony?

Personally I would vote for Al Capone before I would vote for DeMint. As a dead man, he would cause less damage.;-) I suspect that the NAACP would also be happy to support either Greene or Al Capone instead of DeMint, but Capone is not on the ballot.

Maybe we should be wondering why the Dem party could not find a viable contender who could get more votes than a total unknown who did no campaigning? Who spent his savings to get a crack at a $175,000 job.

I can only go by media coverage, but it does not appear that this candidate will much improve greatly upon the calibre of the fellow who thinks that an island will sink into the ocean from the weight of too many inhabitants.

because with most computer labs you agree to not use it for things other than school and that definitely includes not using it to look at porn. Why its a felony and not a misdemenor I'm not sure.

It wasn't Sarcozy's wife. It was a 16 year old Brazilian girl. And, if you look at the entire video rather than the still taken from the video, you will see that he wasn't looking at the girl's butt.

Again, you have it twisted. The official policy of the NAACP is that they do not endorse, back or "promote" any candidate running for political office. If they didn't endorse Obama, who is black, why would they endorse Alvin Greene because he's black?

Greene was invited to speak at a NAACP meeting in Manning, SC., but they did not endorse him. The NAACP has a long history of inviting candidates and politicians to speak at their meetings. In fact, they have always invited sitting Presidents to speak at their meetings, and in case you haven't noticed, all of them have been white except one.

If his eyes didn't wander toward her rear end, there is something wrong.;-) In my youth I was taught a very valuable lesson while living in Sicily where touching the wrong girl could quickly result in the involuntary separation of body parts. Guadare ma non tocare -- look but don't touch.

No wonder I got slapped. When I was in Italy, I thought it was a tradition to touch a good looking woman's bottom. I was in an elevator and saw a great looking woman with a great looking bottom. I reached out to touch it and got slapped. Hell, I thought I was paying her a complement.

Sorry to dispel your accusations with the truth again, but.....New Orleans, May 14-20. Before it became "popular" to support the gulf coast, and people were cancelling plans. Ate lots of shrimp, oysters, and crab. Just the wife and I...you can blame me for not bringing the kids though...but we wanted a "mommy and daddy" vacation once in a while.

As for our current family vacation, why spend over 2000 dollars in airfare alone, when my wife's family is in NJ and can join us here and the kids can see their cousins? We'll make sure we consult with the M&K Travel Agency before our next family vacation. ;)

I'm heading for the Big Easy Friday afternoon for my favorite event, Tales Of The Cocktail.

All the world's major distilleries are in town with samplings at all the major hotels. They bring in mixoligist from all over the world pouring their specialties. I have a room at the Royal Sonnesta so no driving for me;-)

I was only comparing 1st ladies. I wasn't grading them on a curve.

The truth is I have no room to degrade someone else based on their looks. I'm not exactly a super model myself. My guess is if some of those that felt the need to comment on how ugly Michelle Obama is would take a look in the mirror, they might find they don't have a lot of room to talk either.
