That's nothing, on the news today Sarah Palin was blaming Obama for the economy BEFORE he became President. And she is still thinking for taking a run at President in 2012?

The recent strategy from the White House has been to attempt to make the upcoming midterm election about a choice between the Democrats versus the Republicans' style of governing, and yesterday GOP spokesmen stepped up and made the case for the White House by looking back fondly on the George W. Bush years.

Rep. Pete Sessions (R-TX) went on (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/38281589/ns/meet_the_press-transcripts/) Meet the Press, and during a segment on the Bush presidency, said:
... we need to go back to the exact same agenda that is empowering the free enterprise system rather than diminish it.

... and Sen John Cornyn (R-TX) told (http://thinkprogress.org/2010/07/19/cornyn-hearts-bush/) the host of CSPAN's Newsmakers that:
Look, I think President Bush’s stock is going up a lot since he left office…I think a lot of people are looking back with a little more — with more fondness on President Bush’s administration, and I think history will treat him well.

Never mind that:
A recent Time poll found that 71 percent blame Bush for the “balky economy,” versus 27 percent who blame President Obama. By a whopping 53-to-33 percent margin, Americans favor Obama over Bush.
So the GOP wants to run on the Bush years? Bring it on.

Just depends on whose poll you read.

The 47%-48% doesn't mean much other then stick it to Perry. The real telling statistic of the Rasmussen Polls is Obongolo's Minus 20% approval rating. Perry is there anything Bush did to make that happen? Apparently Obongolo did that all by himself. The Mid Term election will tell the story. Perry will have to go on suicide watch after that.

Just for gits & shiggles, I've started listening to the "progressive" talk radio station in our area to hear some "common sense from the left for the rest of us" (still not sure if those words really go together ;)) on my way to work/home.

Man, you'd never know from their repertoire that PBO's a lefty. The guy I heard last night, Mike Malloy (?) was going OFF about how Obama is just following the failed policies of the previous Admin's and is nothing but "a tool of the Corporatocracy that actually runs this country". If RW talk is all "hatemongers" then how do y'all on the liberal side defend this venom? Stephanie Miller in the AM isn't much better, imo, but at least she tries (lamely) to inject some humor.
If these folks are as representative of the left as Rush, Glenn etc supposedly are of the right, then I'm really surprised that O's numbers are as high as they are. It seems the only thing he's got going for him is he's not Bush.
