According to Wikipedia, since Obama has been office he has made 104 visits to 31 states. The purpose of each trip varies but roughly the breakdown is as follows:

1. Speeches/Town halls - 66
2. Funerals - 3
3. Commencements - 5
4. Fundraisers - 12
5. Vacation - 6
6. Disaster Visits - 6
7. Campaigning - 6

States Visited Most:

1. Virginia - 10 Times
2. Maryland & New York - 9 Times Each
3. Florida, Illinois, & Ohio - 5 Times Each
4. 5 Tied at - 4 Times Each
5. 7 Tied at - 3 Times Each
6. 7 Tied - 2 Times Each
7. 6 Tied at - 1 Time Each

One of the states visited once is Arizona. Obama went there 5/17/09 to visit Arizona State University. Since Obama has been in office, he has been in Arizona or the surrounding states 11 times as follows:

1. Colorado - Signed American Recovery & Reinvestment Act
2. California - Speeches
3. Arizona - Visit ASU
4. Nevada - Fundraiser for Reid
5. Colorado - Town Hall for Health Care
6. California - Fundraiser
7. Colorado - Fundraiser
8. Nevada - Campaign for Reid
9. California - Campaign for Boxer
10. California - Fundraiser for Boxer
11. Nevada - Campaign for Reid

Seven of the last eight visits have been for campaigning or fundraisers (I think we all paid for these).

Obama, who "will not rest" until all of his "top priority" issues are dealt with can't find time from his busy schedule to go to the Arizona border. His sorry arse has been to Mexico twice during the same time period. I've been to Arizona more than he has. Hell, I'm hissed off and I don't live in Arizona!

Yup, me too.

Because I have nothing else to worry about.

RK,

He golfs almost as much as Boehner.

Boehner used to be my congressman. I lived about 2 miles from him, used to drive through his neighborhood on the way home. Probably couldn't do that anymore. I think the community is gated, on a Country Club.

Why is it that your great state is the only state bordering Arizona that Obama has not visited?

Well... we're not really part of the United States you know.

Being a minority can effect one's perspective. They tell me I'm gabacho (native) but I know I'm not.

Well, I am admitting that I was joking.
There are many ways to releive stress.
(for me Golf just creates more)

He is entitled to do that.

Descretion might help the perception though.

Did ASU ever give him the degree?

Universities typically confer an honorary degree on commencement speakers, particularly those who have reached the pinnacle of their career or achieved the top of their field. Arizona State University (ASU), though, says it will not confer an honorary degree on this year's commencement speaker, President Barack Obama, because "his body of work is yet to come."

That's incorrect M&K.....He DID give the "Commencement Speech" and ASU was smart enough NOT to give him the 'Honorary' degree.

Maybe that's why he won't come for a visit :-) :-)

My son had Bill Cosby deliver the commencement at Pepperdine. I think I prefer Cos.

Yeah....I don't "THINK".....I "KNOW" I'd prefer the Cos.

Lots of the kids didn't want to listen to him, sold their tickets and put the money to better use.

Mill Avenue regards :-) :-) :-)

He has made trips to alot of states stumping for Democrats in the upcomming elections. Nothing unusual about that. Unless you count the Republicans that did not want Bush anywhere near their election campaigns.

Just couldn't resist the Bush itch, uh?
Hope Obama continues stumping for all of them till Nov., he's proven what his endorsement can do for them. Unfortunately, some Ds are avoiding him like the plague, and it hasn't even been two years in office. How long in office was it when the Rs didn't want Bush around elections?

I know but it's such easy pickings with people who live in the past, instead of learning from the past and living now.

exactly. b ush was avoided in the waning years of his last term, during lame duck times. to be avoided like obama after just 18 mos is testament to how bad dems really think he is doing - worse than the polls show....

I rarely watch it much so I don't even know if "Main Stream" has given this much air time http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uRux_tMLAtE
friend of mine sent me the first crime scene photos......nasty. I can't imagine rounding up $11,000.00 while making less than $100.00 a month (with a good job) to make the trip. Happened south of Brownsville but this is occurring all along the border.....most goes unreported. I don't have the answers but I know another 'Golf Outing' or 'Amnesty' won't solve a thing.

If you will check, the point of this tread has nothing to do with her. Why don't post your own threads rather than hijacking mine?
