We used to spend time up there many years ago. I remember being there on the 20th anniversary of Mary Jo Kopechne's death. It was already becoming a hot spot for the libs even then; I know it was a favorite of the Clintons. Along with Chappaquiddick it's home to the law firm of Winem, Dinem, Dickem & Dunkem.

It's such a beautiful island, it's a shame it's become the liberal playground of the rich & famous. Not surprised the First Family chose it to vacation. I wonder if they'll visit the all-black beach that used to be called the Inkwell by the locals?

The good news is Obongolo may not be able to screw things up as much being in Martha's Vineyard.

Sheesh, looking through 125 posts in recent post history, 125 posts and 4 maybe 5 about dogs.

Recently had some training partners tell me that I should try my dog in dock jumping. Hope that wasn't a shot at his ability in the field... He does have a great entry, even on LONG entry blinds.

So now are you blasting dock diving as a sport to enjoy with your lab?

Try owning a lab from top field breeding with EIC. Dock diving is right up his alley and he will not have a collapse playing the game. I just wish he could play the game more here in NC.

Actually, if I get a chance, I might give it a shot.

I have a 55 lb male, chopper offspring. Big time pocket rocket. His mom is a jumping fool too.

http://www.gooddoginfo.com/gdc/asp/viewpedigree.asp?DogNo=88364

As you can see, his registered name is quite appropriate for dock jumping - Moneybird's Jumpin' Jack Flash - call name Mick...

The dog runs harder and enters the water bigger than any dog I've ever seen. My training partners thought it might be a good stud market for the little guy if he could show some success.

Oh, I forgot. Not supposed to talk about dogs here.

By the way, what would you like Obama to do about the 22 mile plume that is almost a mile below the surface?

I thought almost all the oil was gone.

i personally don't have a problem with him going on vacation. it is not like he is out of reach or unattainable if needed. i think politically he could gain points by where he goes and how much it costs. not to many middle class independents at marths's vineyard. i understand that a "disney world" could be a security issue (safety & costs). why not vacation in a swing state? help the economy locally and his image where it will matter in november '10 & '12.

Sheesh, we hate politicians, but at the same time we would like even their vacations to be a political calculation...

It would be great if he even mentioned that he had heard of it..... but instead hes jetsettin.......... He wants all of the credit for two half ass accomplished incidences, the war, and the oil........ neither of which was actually taken care of............(Buzz can now insert Bush comment)......

I set the table for ya Buzz......... Now hit her out the park!

i don't care where he goes. i do think the cost should be considered. i think it would benefit him politically and his party.
it may be safer at martha's vineyard and cost less because of the security.

I'm pretty sure that we all agree that he should be a tad more cost conscious. In fact, I think his spendy ways after his 'sacrifice' comments are probably the main beef that everyone has with him regarding vacations.

I'm sure the residents of Martha's Vineyard are overjoyed at having the Obongo's there. We had the pleasure of their presence last week. Glad they went somewhere else.
