I know Don & Helen must be ecstatic! I may be wrong, but I believe this may be Don's first Open win. And I'm pretty darn sure this gives Ruby her AFC. Congratulations!!

And of course congratulations to Michael & Lynn & Brook and everyone else who finished!

Soooo close for Jester (Golden bitch) who just needs 1/2 point for her FC but she got RJ.

Derby is still going as of 5PM.
Amateur is done and I believe Jack and Angel took the blue. Missy and Blue took the red. These are extremely unofficial and just what I heard as I was leaving.

PS
After all that thought.... I decided to wear white.

Well Helen I see that derby litter is aging out. I am sure some will be glad of that.

What is the final tally.

Bob, You are right. Folks can be glad to hear the Saber-Ruby pups won't be running Derby any more. This was the last Derby. 4 were entered. 3 got ribbons.

1st place - Sally
3rd place - Moxie
RJ - Shooter

Chet was the 4th puppy to run Derby at K-Falls. This was Chet's first and only Derby. He got dropped after the 2nd series. He was test dog for the combined 3rd-4th series which was at the same location as the Open and a similar set up. Marks were at the same spot so were the same distance from the line. For the Derby it was a water double then a long swim stand-up single.

As test dog, Chet pinned all 3 birds and got a big cheer from the handlers and the gallery. We can only imagine what he might have done if he had been trained for Derby and had run in more than one. These were "real pins", not wind pins. He came in the front door on all 3. We were thrilled to see what he could do.

Here's the final tally on the Saber-Ruby kids:
30 points Sally
20 points Bobby
20 points Shooter
15 points Boogie
13 points Moxie
1 point Nitro (ran in 2 or 3 Derbies, hunt test dog, got his MH at 21 months and qualified to run in this year's Master National)

99 total Derby points.
