Hope he was smart enough to buy a second one and keep it in his golf bag.

I have been married for 26 years and never wore one. I don't wear any jewlery other than a watch from time to time.
No big deal. More of an issue when you wear one and then take it off as as needed. You take it off for a reason. Not wearing one ever is not the same.

a couple of yrs ago, I broke (or did something that enlarged) the knuckle of my ring finger. I took off my wedding band because I didn't want to risk having to have it cut off. Sometimes wish I had another one, as there are some men customers that come in the store and think I am not married. Usually they are the drunk ones

too old be to hit on regards,
Juli

Yeah, but Bumma always had one on. That's why I noticed it today during his news conference.
I rarely wear my real one since its got stones in it, but rather wear the gold band that was my great grandmothers.

When I was working my way through school, I worked in a shop doing repair and field service. I used to take my ring off and put it in my toolbox in the morning and try and remember to put it on at the end of the day. One day I forgot to take it off. We used to have to sometimes make and modify our own parts. I was on a lathe roughing out a shaft and caught the ring on one of the chuck jaws. Thought I was going to take my finger off. A funny story is one day I forgot to put it back on. Some of the guys talked me into stopping at a strip club on the way home. It was summer and I was really tan, except for where the ring sat on my finger. That white band glowed like neon under the black lights!

I think we should start a rumor and see if we can get it to go viral on the internets!

what rumor, and why in the world would anyone care?

you are kidding, right? my lord, the riskiest thing you ever did in your life was go to a strip club with a wedding finger tan line and you want to become a legend for that??? and you are self promoting to boot??

you cant make this stuff up folks.....

i really have to quit hanging out around these types, on one hand they make me look superiorily macho, but at some point people will question why i would ever want to be seen with them....anywhere.....anytime.......and they are right

its like "the worlds most interesting man" hanging out with pee wee herman. yardley gives me a few laughs at his expense, but after that he is just a mere curiosity.......

i dont always drink beer, but when i do i prefer dos eqius, of course - regards.....

I was talking about starting a rumor about Obama and his ringless finger. WTF are you talking about Gibson? Maybe you should reach around and pull your head out of your arse. Also never said anything about the riskiest thing I'd ever done. It's just an incident I always remember when the topic of wedding bands comes up. If you can't stand it, put me on your ignore list.

glad to know you are proud of going to strip clubs without a ring on.... ;-)

Put my band on in 1972, kept it on 32+ years.
Kept it on a full 6 months more after she passed.

About to put another one on this fall, it will stay on till I die.

To me, it shows unwavering commitment to your word.

I have to take my ring off every day....so does my wife. No big deal for us.

I had to cut a ring off a guy who smashed his hand with a tie-down buckle. I could tell he and his wife weren't happy about it, as they never had their rings off. When I got it off, he looked at her and smiled and said, "see, nothing happened". We all got a good chuckle out of it.

Oh, to the OP, I know this is crazy and unbelievable....but is there any chance a guy in his late 40s just might need to get a ring resized? And even crazier, it takes the jeweler more than a day to get it back?

About a year ago, I started Home Brewing my beer. 1st batch I made was a Mexican Cerveza. I added some amber malt to it and it was a perfect Dos Equis... Still the best batch I've made.

Maybe Buzz removed his wedding ring before going into the strip club so he wouldn't get his finger smashed by a "G" string. I wonder if he removed his glasses as well. What a man!

I always leave my walker at home......;-)

One thing I have noticed on those rare occasions that I have ever been to such a place is that strippers really like me!!:D

(Jdog, get your ladder out.....)

I take great pride in wearing my ring every day of my life. However, when I am at work, I do not wear it. Wearing a ring is a great way for a machinist to lose a finger, and I really prefer to keep all of mine attached. I can tell you this though, it's back on before I hit the time clock in the afternoon.

I really don't care if he was wearing his ring or not. Doesn't make a hill of beans difference to me. HOWEVER, your BS excuse for O might be one of the funniest things I have ever read on here...You really don't think the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES could get same day service?

that's why I said "even crazier". totally absurd that he's might be getting it resized. I know. He's obviously having a remote Kenyan socialist transmitter installed to receive instructions from the high chief of Kenya. That's much more plausible.

Oh wait, the source of all things true, FoxNews, had this to offer:

http://politics.blogs.foxnews.com/2010/09/10/where’s-obama’s-circle-love

Fret not, romantics; the president's barren finger has nothing to do with marital discord. White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs tells Fox News President Obama was not wearing his hardware Friday because the ring is being repaired. Though we have not been told exactly what happened to the ring, it's an intricate gold design from Indonesia, where the president spent some of his youth, the New York Times reported last year. Perhaps that requires more up-keep than your standard American man band.

There's 90 seconds I'll never get back.

You didn't have to spend it replying. Like I really cared if you did. I care almost as little as I care about whether O has on his ring or not.
