My broadband connection isn't good but here goes...

The Qual started with a land double and a blind. I believe 20 were called back to the water blind which was a shoreline blind past a point. Twelve were called back to the 4th series which was being set up when I left about 4:30. Callbacks were 2, 5, 6, 8, 11, 12, 14, 17, 19, 22, 25, and 26. Not sure whether they will be able to finish tonight before they lose the light.

The Open started with a land quad, two retired. I don't know the status. I hope someone else can fill in more information on that one. The Amateur starts tomorrow and the Derby follows the Qual.

All that I have to report is from rumor or memory at this point.

Rumor has it that Carol Sealock won the Qual with Stella. No one has heard about other placements.

From memory, it was reported to me that the Open has the following 9 callbacks to the water marks:

6, 11, 14, 18, 22, 24, 28, 33, 37

I hope my reporter has a good memory.

The Amateur has about 15 dogs left to run. It's a triple with two retired. First down is a shorter retired on the left thrown near several stands of tules with a corner of water enroute that many dogs are cheating. There have been some handles on that bird. Next down is a long retired mark in the sage brush on the right and very hard to see in the air. In the center, last down, and closest to the line are four gunners and the flyer. Many dogs are hunting short on the long mark with some ending up back at the flyer. In the first 8 dogs there were 4 handles and two pickups. Then the lighting changed and the long gunners and bird became easier to see so the dogs were more successful although still with big hunts. Now it has started to rain, and the lighting has turned dark again so that long bird is again very hard to see.

Will head back out shortly and report on the callbacks.

Thanks Judy for the reporting. That Open sounds like a National. Looks like they were wanting some pretty quick answers and got them. Wow!

I heard more reports from the Qual. I was told the placements are as follow:
1st - Stella - Sealock
2nd - Eli - Miller
3rd - Moto - Vandebrake
4th - Rudy - Henry
No one knew RJ or the full list of JAM's but green ribbons did go to 12, 14, and 26

Amateur callbacks to the land blind (21):

3, 5, 14, 15, 19, 21, 23, 24, 30, 31, 34, 35, 37, 38, 39, 40, 41, 43, 44, 46, 47

I suspect the Open is done but have not heard any placements. The Derby was waiting for handlers from the Open, and I believe are still running their second series.

Are you sure these are the Open callbacks and not the AM callbacks? These numbers more closely resemble the previous AM callbacks.
