Great to see our tax dollars at work!
The Border Patrol in Texas has finally busted the international menace, singer Willie Nelson, for a whopping 6 oz. of maryjane! (probably with the "intent to relax")

I can sleep better at night knowing Willie Nelson won't be burning a fattie on his bus for a few days! This will keep America safe!

Willie got busted just outside of Breaux Bridge, La. two years ago. His tour bus had stopped to refuel when the local police stated "probable cause" in the search. The local prosecutor wanted to send him "upriver" but cooler state officials convinced the local sheriff that a benefit concert at a later date was more in order. Willie refused to play and ended up paying a $500. fine.

Now, we all know Willie is a hardened dope addict filled with rage and hate as refelected in his music. That he is a menace to society and poses a danger to everyone near him. That he should be locked up, sentenced to hard labor and made an example of!

Bad laws are subject to mocking.

No different than mocking legally elected politicians or our new Healthcare Laws;-)

I have no problem with this. If we use your logic, what crime is worth punishing?

is 5 miles an hour over the speed limit OK? 10? 20? 30? 50? in a school zone what is it?

If Willie's bus had been in CA. they would have asked to see his doctors note.
If Willie's bus had been in VT. they would have given the driver a ticket.
But Willie's bus was in TX. Were it is O.K. to allow thousands of pounds come in from tunnels and on the backs of the illegals............
They just decide to set down the doughnut and swing into action 'cause the sight of Willie's bus awoke them from the frosting induced coma.....
"OOO OOO I bet there is something on that bus!!!!!!!!!"
But do something about the real issue, naw, have another doughnut!!!!
Fricken pathetic!!!!!!!!

Agree!

10 states have now Decriminalized and several with Medical MJ laws. Medical MJ is the way states are getting around the Draconian Federal Law.

Then we have the Bible Belt where lawmakers are trying to make the penalities and sentence for MJ much tougher. The same Bible thumpers that buy thier booze covertly.

Still the number one cash crop for places like Canada, Colorado, Washington State and Wisconsin. According to mpp.org, Houston, Tx is the largest under-roof growing city in the USA. As the 4th largest city in the USA, they must be doing some serious growing.

There are like totally a lot of wanna-be heads who don't seem to have any idea as to just how much 6 oz of weed really is. Pssst...it's a lot. And it's way more than the posssession limits allowed by most of the states that allow medical marijuana.

Jmtc, but he should be charged for being a dumbass as well.

Kind of along the lines of the med mj clinic in CA that got busted for selling meth etc, Willie should know by now, with his history, that there's a big green bullseye on he/his.
Carrying over a 1/4 lb on the bus is daring the LEO's not to do their job, imo.
Keep it under 2 oz's on the bus and a Class B misdemeanor in TX?
(Although that's probably just enough to get him through 1 show).

Whatever you feel about how the law "should be" concerning pot, the fact is what it is right now.
Wonder if he thinks he's going to make a political statement or just being an arrogant bastard?

Willie must be an idiot. Traveling through Texas with 6 ounces... He may get executed for this one.

Would you be for the decriminalization of drug use, all drugs for personal use? Elimination of the prescription drug process. Doctors give you the recomended medication, you just get it over the counter. Why or why not?

Yep, poor Willy. He's the Charlie Brown of CW music..."why is everybody always picking on me?" His agent duped him outa beaucoups bucks that never had the taxes paid on. Kinda like Tom Daschole...or Timmy Geitner. And his followers needed to pony up so he could stay outa jail then. He no longer has Waylon to bail him out anymore.

About all he can expect in this era is for his buddy Kristofferson to replenish his stash that got confiscated.
