They were probably paying Don Hudson $162.50 per game and $40 a week for living expenses.

But, did they beat the Brooklyn Tigers that season?

What was the price of gasoline back then, 3 cents a gallon? Pack of the player's favorite smokes was probably a nickle!

One way to elimnate the leading with the helmet is to bring back leather helmets. That would cure that sheet!

I've been saying that for over a year. Its the padding that protects from deceleration injury. The hard shell just protects the padding. On a turf or grass field, there is no reason for the weaponized hard-shell. skidding on asphalt, yes. Football field, NO.

I suppose if you get your head stepped on, the hard shell would help, but oh well, its a rough game.
