James Eric Fuller, 63, who was shot in the knee, had told The Post on Friday, the day before his arrest, that top Republican figures should be tortured -- and their ears severed.
"There would be torture and then an ear necklace, with [Minnesota US Rep.] Michelle Bachmann and Sarah Palin's ears toward the end, because they're small, female ears, and then Limbaugh, Hannity and the biggest ears of all, Cheney's, in the center," Fuller said.

Oh come on, he merely said "You're dead". He didnt say "I will kill you". The latter is a threat, the first a simple statement. It is a common barb in European roots to state "you are dead to me". This in no way implies a threat, just that the person stating it considers the other person as "non existing" and will no longer recognize them, as if the had already "assumed room temperature" so to speak. The Right is trying to take this to the bank but the check will not be cashed.

Sorry to intrude so abruptly, but I have been reading your cussing and discussing here with some amusement and thought this a good time to chime in.

Merely a symbolic statement, thats is all. Need I explain your Wonderwoman's comment about reloading? Symbolic as well, at least I don't think she was really thinking about reloading a gun to use on democrats, but with that loose-cannon dingbat who knows.....Perhaps you should read the title of this thread again, you seem to be purposefully accomplishing just the opposite. This is interesting. Maybe he has had a few screws loose for years.
Areas of Specialty:
I use extraordinary persuasive charisma to interest blase, apathetic, oblivious and at times hostile voters to listen to the voice of justice and consanguinity. My experiences encountering public figures and many affluent travelers in person has led me to believe that we all are to blame for George W. Bush.

No wonder Roger is defending Fuller so ardently! ;)

Merely a symbolic statement, thats is all. And you know that how?.
Would you also defend Loughner's alleged pre-action statement of "Die, Bitch!" as merely "symbolic" too?
If someone substituted, the FLOTUS, the current Minority leader of the House etc with the POTUS's ears in the middle, would that be ok with you as well?
Look, the man (Fuller) has suffered a physical, and it appears likely, severe mental trauma on top of a self described non-physical disability. This "You're dead" thing was initially thought just to be a reaction to Humphries opinion to hold off debate until emotions cool. But now, it's been shown he had some issues before the show ever started or Trent ever spoke.
In lieu of his statements, even before the program, and actions at the Town Hall, I'm glad he's getting the mental exam. We'll never know but maybe, if Jared's parents had acted on the recommendation by the college that he get an exam, this whole thing might have been avoided. Maybe this exam will help avert a future tragedy involving Fuller.

What's the matter, couldn't you find a link? You are right, the memory is the first thing to go. Was it the White House steps or an airport runway????????????

Perhaps this is the story you remember:

Bill Clinton steps out onto the White House lawn in the dead of winter. Right in front of him, on the White House lawn, he sees "The President Must Die" written in urine across the snow. Well, old Bill is pretty pissed off.
He storms into his security staff's headquaters and yells, "Somebody wrote a death threat in the snow on the front damn lawn! And they wrote it in urine! Son-of-a-bitch had to be standing right on the porch when he did it! Where were you guys?"
The security guys stay silent and stare ashamedly at the floor. Bill hollers, "Well dammit, don't just sit there! Get out and FIND OUT WHO DID IT! I want an answer, and I want it TONIGHT!"
The entire staff immediately jumped up and raced for the exits. Later that evening, his chief security officer approaches him and says, "Well Mr. President, we have some bad news, and we have some really bad news. Which do you want first?"
Clinton says, "Oh Hell, give me the bad news first." The officer says, "Well, we took a sample of the urine and tested it. The results just came back, and it was Al Gore's urine."
Clinton says, "Oh my god, I feel so ... so betrayed! My own vice president! Damn. Well, what's the really bad news?"
The officer replies, "Well, it's Hillary's handwriting."

You should probably butt out of this conversation. You have said plenty of lewd things about her daughter. Shall we bring them back up?

Stay classy, Rog!

Not anything more than the lewd remarks made about Chelsie Clinton. What's good for the goose-----

The person who made those lewd remarks isn't the one that called you out right now. I don't remember who it was, but it sure wasn't me. Admitting that you are wrong is much more admirable than pointing the finger at someone else.

RK, what is on page 3? This fits perfectly...

In case you haven't noticed, I have not made any remarks about Sarah's daughter (Bristol) on this thread. It seems though, you have a good memory and must have painted a picture in your mind.

I know that you didn't say anything about her today...I just find it ironic that you entered into a discussion about the inappropriateness of talking about women in a crude manner, given your history...and you continue to show how disrespectful you are to women by posting that picture of SP, along with your comments (which are now edited to try to make RK look bad)...Besides, RK's 'skirt comment' has nothing to do with that picture (interestingly enough, you are the one that has that picture saved in your photobucket account), it was in reference to some comment Dave made about wearing a skirt a day or so ago.

Deflect away, roger...it's all you got!

You mean this picture?

How could that possibly sexist. I'd say that it is a good looking picture and deplicts her well.;-)
By the way RK, you have a good memory to remember Sarah in her leather skirt. I almost forgot about it thank for reminding me.

Though photoshopped, it's still funny. Even better ones here:

Ahhhhh Sarah, gotta love her!

Sorry to disappoint you, but I had to do a search to find the picture of Sarah wearing the leather skirt just like I had to do a search to find the fact check Obama birth certificate.

So let me make sure I've got this right. The local libs try to defend this guy but can't find an angle that actually makes any sense. They still want to make it sound like he's ok so they just change the subject and attack SP and GWB?

I did not bring up SP in a leather skirt. RK went off topic about a liberal radio guy in Madison Wis and also brought up SP in a leather dress.;-)

And just when exactly have I made lewd sexually-explicit comments about Dear Mrs. Palin? Please reference!

I have said she's easy on the eyes, but that is hardly a sexually-explicit attack. I've attacked her intelligence, sure, that that is in no way sexually biased. I've attacked Bush's intelligence too, I'm completely gender-neutral when it comes to lack of intellect.

Nice try.....please come again!

Ohhhh, I see...

It's just when it is commentary like that man...then you dont approve and your old fashion. Ohh so if it is sexually lewd, then it is not ok and your old fashion...your the farthest thing from old fashion...PROGRESSIVE:rolleyes::rolleyes:

So comments about wives, mothers, daughters, sisters are ok...so long as their not sexually explicit...good I am glad I can make comments like you about inteligence and suggestive hints about looks...so long as their not sexual...

I am glad it suits you that your big tempter tantrums are not "wrong" with regard to ladies (most obviously SP)

I'm surprised that no one's brought up Rep. Steve Cohen (D-Tenn.) and his "Goebbels" comments yet. THAT's really toning down the rhetoric!.

They say it's a government takeover of health care, a big lie just like Goebbels," ...The Germans said enough about the Jews and the people believed it and you had the Holocaust".

Then claims today that: 'I did not compare Republicans to Nazis,'...But he maintained that Republican rhetorical tactics during the healthcare debate have resembled Nazi propaganda.... Certainly I didn't intend to do that, but the way they lied has been the same way that the master political propagandist of all time, Goebbels, said to lie."
Cohen conceded that "it would have been simpler" if he didn't use the analogy, but maintained that "it doesn't hurt to remind people" of the supposed parallel.

I'm just having some fun.
But if you insist that I'm sexy and intelligent, who am I to argue?

I respect him more for what he didn't deliver - an unwanted, illegal war with hundreds of thousands of innocent civilians dead, thousands of our best young men dead, a destroyed global reputation, and trillions of dollars of debt all for some mysterious imagined WMD.

Spoken like a true defender of the libs, about a man who will go down in history as one of the most "do nothing" Presidents in U.S. history.

Why is EVERYTHING "lib" this, and "lib" that with you guys?

We were duped into a multi-trillion dollar war, which we and our children for generations will be struggling to pay....and you supporters of the troops and fiscal responsibility are ok with that???

That is the ULTIMATE in hypocrisy and double-standards. The stimulus, the health care.....all that is minutia compared to these wars were entangled in. Ask the Russians how it worked out for them. Oh, there I go again, bringing up ancient history. Sorry.
