thats what I read too, where she will have editorial power over the content of their news...Wow just seems like yesterday that she was nothing more than the ex wife of a millionaire that got a huge settlement after his failed Calif senate bid..and in the process was outed for his homosexuality...and he ran as a Republican

Stan,

I'm like you. I still have an AOL account just because I've had one for so long. I think AOL is trying to find another revenue source since no one is willing to pay for their internet service anymore.

Sounds like a good deal for Arianna Huffington.

AOL has evolved way beyond dial-up and DSL.

AOL is still one of the world's largest search engines as well one of the largest content providers. Something they started when they merged with Time Warner.

In buying Huffington, it gives them access to a lot more content. Agree or disagree with Huffington content, they are still one of the world's largest and most read websites. Politics, news, sports, entertainment, you name it, it is still on the HP.

Gotta love it!
A pro-socialist agenda host's news/talk site takes advantage of the free market capitalist system to enrich herself by millions.

Is ths a great country or what? :p
