Representative from Minnesota confuses Concord, N.H., with Concord, Mass.

NASHUA, N.H. U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann of Minnesota stood before New Hampshire Republicans with a tea bag clutched in her hand Saturday, but her grasp on Revolutionary War geography wasn't quite as tight.
Before headlining a GOP fundraiser, the possible presidential hopeful told a group of students and conservative activists in Manchester, "You're the state where the shot was heard around the world in Lexington and Concord," according to video posted online by WMUR-TV More world news (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3032507/ns/world_news/)
(http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/42056235/ns/world_news-asia-pacific/)But those first shots of the Revolutionary War were fired in Massachusetts, not New Hampshire. Though Bachmann probably wasn't the first to confuse Concord, N.H., with Concord, Mass., her mistake was striking given her roots in the Tea Party movement, which takes its name from the dumping of tea into Boston Harbor by angry American colonists in December 1773, 16 months before the Battle of Lexington Green.

I'm working on Palinisms now. I haven't gotten around to all the Bachmanisms yet. ;-)

"Here's an example of how it wastes some time. To be judged on or to be talked about on appearance—say chest size—it makes me wear layers, it makes me have to waste time figuring out what am I going to wear so that nobody will look in an area that I don't need them to look at." --Sarah Palin, Fox interview with Greta Van Susteren, June 12, 2010

Ms Bachman is not representative of the people of MN. She should never have been elected and is a nut case. We have better Republicans than she. I am embarrassed for her district.

I'm surprised at you, Golddogs. Talk about eating your own. Climb right into the slim from wence Roger originated:rolleyes:

And BTW, not being a big fan of anything that usually comes from the Republic of Minnesooooota, I still have enough respect for a lady that has born 5 children and raise several more, to be referred to as MRS. Ms is such damned politically correct demeaning crap, and soooo liberal/socialistic it sickens me to see you use it. But then weasels have a tendancy to make themselves out to be the important part of the post.

And your disregard for Republican women is quite obvious. It's my guess they have forgotten more about the constitution than you will ever know.

With all due respect, given the whackjob politicians that Minnesota has produced, I frankly find it hard to believe that ya'll are embarrassed by much of anything. ;-)

Probably not Bill. As for disregarding republican women, we have several pretty sharp ones in the who that are more concerned with getting things fixed than sound bites. Hopefully they will choose to play in the national arena next chance they get. Ms Bachman, while nice to look at, is not our best effort.

Hey Rog,
Lets start a pool to see how many Obama/biden comments ONE Bachman comment can generate! I would have guessed three, but I would have been too low!

When you decide to play in the big show, it matters not if you are a Bachman, Biden, Huckabee, Obama or Bush,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, well maybe Bush , :). For gosh sakes, get the facts, figures and countries right before you start spewing dribble. Party affiliation does not insulate one from incorrect and foolish statements nor being held accountable for them.

And you make this statement about me based on?????????????? Our long relationship or a cosmic insight to what everyone believes and thinks.

I don't give a rats ass if a person is left, right or center. If he/she screws up, but grow a pair, take responsability and do better next time. Ignoring who makes the blunders does not make things better for anyone. If you refuse to hold those you hold dear to high standards, you end up being no better than they are and may as well just keep walking off the cliff because nothing can get better if the problems, misspeak and mistakes are ignored.

Or you can just follow, locked stepped behind what ever party you follow and keep on keeping on.

Take the blinders off Regards. Stupid has no party monopoly.

You will find that the far right here have blinders on and that the Republican party can do no wrong or say no wrong. :-P I am with you that is a person screws up no matter which political party member they should be held accountable.;-) But you can bet your booties that if a R says something stupid, the righties here will not agree but come back with Obama and the 57 states reference which is old news.

Please show me or tell me how or where you have knowledge that Obama is " my boy ", which in this case is incorrect and a pretty poor chioce of words.

And I would suggest a trip to the eye doctor, because what you see is not even close to what things really are.

Responses like this really do show how limited many are in engaging in thoughtful debate.
