Jobless claims for the week ending April 23 rose by 25,000 which is the highest rate since January 2011.
For the first quarter of 2011 the economy grew at a rate of 1.8 compared to the last quarter of 2010 which was 3.1. This is the worst showing since the Sring of 2010.
Not to mention gas prices which is at a national average of $3.88 a Gallon.

Meanwhile the Kenyan Clown Obongolo remains helpless. What a disgrace for a president.

Locally ... 4100 new jobs; unemployment rate down 4/10% ... BUT there are fewer total people working. Some may have stopped looking?

many may have run out of benefits, and many cant afford the gas to commute long distances to their jobs...and with the case of many of my former co workers, they earn more on unemployment than working one or two days a week

Sorry, but it is such a joke when you take about a long term, general problem and blame it all on the current President. Do you really believe that? This is a result of decades of economic decay masked by 3 financial bubbles. How can you not blame Bush just as much, he was in charge when this thing started and Started a War that has cost as much as anything Obama has put out there. Both sides are responsible as are the American people.

O and rather than say Kenyan why don't you say what you really mean.......... N#%@#

Did anyone else see the note in the paper - Bernanke not sure that we can improve the employment situation without inflationary trends. Guess as long as he has a job, the rest of the folks can pound sand.

& Nate - your leader is now to the point he is drawing favorable comparisons to that illlustrious former 1 termer - the peanut farmer  :-P :-P .
