its cold up in Lee Kay, high 50's at best, it snowed last night....so I am told

the first series in the Open is a triple with a flower pot and two retired guns, of the first dozen dogs only one or two have completed it without long hunts..many have picked up...Nola is up in about 5 dogs, Brig later this afternoon..

Nola just stepped on the triple...she has the first team handling her this weekend...the test is taking a long time for each dog, even if the weather holds up they may be hard pressed to get another in today, Brig may not run till late this afternoon

BTW , I am not at the trial, just relaying info as it gets to me

Heard that Chris LaCross won the Q with #14 Birds Run Virgil, owned by Dr. Ron Thompson, congrats to both. Virgil just turned 2 on 5/1 and is from the breeding I did with Shaq and my Winnie so we are kind of proud:cool:

Sorry, I don't have any more info.

after a disappointing exit in the Open, Brig and Nola ran early this morning in the Amateur and had a tough triple , Brig had a medium hunt on the money bird, Nola about the same...Clint was almost certain his weekend was done so he went back to the hotel and checked out...Well Nola and Brig got called back to the land blind, apparently the work changed after they left, along with the conditions, many pickups..Looks like judges Terracino and Kahn ended up with a buster after all..over half the field is gone...sorry don't have the #'s...guess it aint over till its over
