New Date! - Kalamazoo Valley HRC Fun Hunt 7-9-2011

The Kalamazoo Valley HRC will be holding a Fun Hunt on July 9, 2011 at the property in Jones, MI. (This is the same place our Preliminary Hunt was held for those who attended). Registration starts at 8am sharp, and the "tests" will begin as soon after 9am as humanly (and caninely) possible.

We will be using ducks, and will have a started/seasoned course set up in one location, and a seasoned/finished course in another. Our club members will be serving as "judges" to advise and assist if needed. We will have a modest prize for the dog/handler team that runs their registered course the fastest. Entry fees are $25.00 for the first dog, and $15.00 for each additional dog. Each handler may enter a total of 8 dogs.

We ask that you sign up in advance to help us plan accordingly for the number of ducks we'll need, however, for an additional fee, we will accept walk-ups the day of the Fun Hunt. Pre-entries should be postmarked by July 1.

Also, with the small amount we are charging for the entries, lunch WILL NOT be provided and the nearest fast food is about 20 minutes away, so pack a cooler with your favorite sandwiches and soft drinks.

Oh, and since this is a Fun Hunt, the only way to pre-register is to print the premium from our website and send it in. It's not on Hunt Secretary, or Entry Express, etc....

Ok, folks, last count shows we've got lots of room for people from other clubs to sign up for our Fun Hunt on July 9.

I just wanted to thank everyone who showed up. We had a good time. Some of us learned things (ok, I learned to trust my dog, who, when I let him, blew me away).
