Just read an op ed from Washington Post the other day ... interesting statistics

In NYC, the top 1% of income earners pay 43% of the taxes for the city. The top 10% pay 71% of the taxes. Very interesting is the income that puts you in the top 10% in NYC ... a very expensive place to live ... $105,000!

A family of 4, living in NYC on $105,000, is likely not living on "easy street". And they might be sending their kids to private school with some of that income.
