Would this benefit someone new to field trials?

It should help. The plan is to discuss setting up tests that are within the rules and not because you saw the same test the other weekend. You will gain a good bit of info on the rules and set up of tests. I think that will benefit everyone.

IMHO this seminar will benefit anyone who trains and or runs dogs. You have 3 individuals with over a 100 years
combined experience in judging, training, and or running dogs.
They are going to spend an entire day helping all those who attend on how to improve and understand bird placement and factors that affect dogs retrieving. Even if you never plan on judging what a great learning experience. They will do set-ups with dogs to enhance the learning experience.
What a wonderful opportunity that we will probably not have again.

Wish I could make it. Work has other ideas.

Wish in the future more notice would be given ahead of time. Not enough time to rearrange work schedule. Sounds like an excellent venue and faculty.

The event was posted on December 12. That is over a month before the closing date.

Thank you to those that planned and are leading this event ~ we've needed something like this in TX/OK/LA for a long time.

I sure hope that this event will be recorded and available afterward for purchase. In looking at the sign-up list, I see that some people that really need to go are not signed up (IMO). Unfortunately, there are many "big egos" out there that really need a seminar of this type, yet think (in their own minds) that they don't.

Perhaps a "you really need to watch this and take notes" mail-out of this seminar is on the horizon. ;)

I sure hope that they cover "be kind to your contestants", "now is this really marking?", "just because you saw it once, doesn't make it good", and "just because you can, doesn't mean you should". :)
