Does anyone have any suggestions for a hotel near N. Webster, IN, for Backwater's Spring hunt tests?
Thank you.

I think generally, they use the motels in Kendallville, which is about 1/2 hour from the test grounds. You would just bring 6 West then from there to Ligonier, catch 5 S, and that will take you all the way to test grounds.

Hope this helps!

Thanks, I stayed in Kendallville for the test in Albion, the hotel was very nice. Just wondered if there was something closer.
Thanks for the reply!

Try this, perhaps this will work ok.(: I know that the grounds are just off of SR 5, on the eastern range of North Webster area. http://maps.google.com/maps?ix=hca&q=North+Webster,+Indiana&um=1&ie=UTF-8&hq=&hnear=0x881685cdcd94ed4b:0x323bcda96d2b5450,North+ Webster,+IN&gl=us&ei=bz4jT4voCqj40gG68sH7CA&sa=X&oi=geocode_result&ct=title&resnum=2&ved=0CDMQ8gEwAQ

Thanks, that does help! I see that State Road 5 is actually a good way East, which puts it not too far from Kendallville. The hotel there was nice and very dog friendly, so I guess I'll stay there again.
On another topic, how's the water there? It's awful early in the year in this area for water....

You aren't the only one concerned about this.(: There were a number of contributing factors leading up to the decision to bump back this years test a week, but one of the bigger ones was that the April 6-8 weekend was Easter, and our school kid bird boys wouldn't be able to come. It takes a lot of people to run a test of this size, and it just wouldn't work without the kids.
Water could be frozen hard, or it could be 60 degrees out.....You just don't know up here at this time of year! It has been a really soft winter though, snow is only here for a few days, then it is back up in the 30s and 40s for a week, and then back down again.

Crossing my fingers.(:

There is a Comfort Inn in Warsaw that is right on US 30 that I believe is pet friendly. It has many eating options nearby. It is probably about 1/2 hr away from the test grounds. It might be a little more convient for you coming in from Illinois.

Thanks Gibby, I looked on a map and you're right, it's more on my way.
