I find it to be a cost effective method for tick prevention.

I stopped using it when one of my Boykin Spaniels and one of my Labs had terrible side effects (glassy eyes, staggering, drooling, vomiting) immediately after application. I had to wash it all off, and a trip to the vet for a shot to counteract their allergic reaction to it. Never had a problem before.

I use the Wal-Mart generic of Frontline Plus (Pet Armor) since and with satisfactory control so far.
