75-year-old kills break-in suspect, Detroit police say

Police say a 75-year-old Detroit man fatally shot an armed 18-year-old man who was trying to break into his home on the city's west side with two other people.
Detroit police said in a statement that the older man was inside his home Tuesday afternoon when he heard the three people trying to break in through a side door.
Police say the homeowner fired a shot, fatally wounding the young man, and the two others fled. They were described by police only as unknown males.
Police say the homeowner wasn't injured.
Fox did not identify the race of the shooter or the deceased...
