The President called Obamacare "bipartisan". One Republican vote in House or Senate. He also said that if the SCOTUS rules against the mandate, it is "activism" and against Conservative ideals. Is he too stupid to understand the difference between enforcing constitutionality and activism or does he think we're all too stupid to understand the difference? I know that I shouldn't be, but I'm continually amazed at this man's duplicity.

Wouldn't stupidity also fit for a "constitutional scholar" who says "... an unelected group of people would somehow overturn a duly constituted and passed law,"

I don't care for Santorum.
Doesn't make him "stupid."

Biden says some really "stupid" stuff.
I don't think he is "stupid" either.

I am the one that is "stupid" trying to make a point that everyone already knows.

Sorry.............

this is the same POTUS that openly chastised the court during his State of the Union speech, he clearly thinks he knows more about the Constitution than those on the bench...and you wonder what the SCOTUS would look like if BHO were to get another term

I agree. To tell the Supreme court Obamacare is constitutional is not balls, it's being self absorbed and delusional. I hope they kick his Obamacare to the curb.

So anyone else in Wisconsin receiving 10-15 calls a day? It is past annoying, it is making me so pissed I don't want to vote for any of them, but I will vote for whomever runs against Obama. Why do they think that annoying you with that many phone calls is going to make the candidate credible?

The 5th Federal Circuit Ct has fired back! The fact that they couched this as an order will mean the DOJ has one of two choices.....go on record as opposing President Obama, legal scholar that he is, or go on record that ~210 years of judicial history is wrong in the eyes of the DOJ. Which petard do you wish to be hoist upon. (Note: I forgot a third choice....contempt of court. This would normally be unheard of but with Holder's DOJ....)

Appeals court fires back at Obama's comments on health care case
By Jan Crawford

(CBS News) In the escalating battle between the administration and the judiciary, a federal appeals court apparently is calling the president's bluff -- ordering the Justice Department to answer by Thursday whether the Obama Administration believes that the courts have the right to strike down a federal law, according to a lawyer who was in the courtroom.

The order, by a three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit, appears to be in direct response to the president's comments yesterday about the Supreme Court's review of the health care law. Mr. Obama all but threw down the gauntlet with the justices, saying he was "confident" the Court would not "take what would be an unprecedented, extraordinary step of overturning a law that was passed by a strong majority of a democratically elected Congress."

How about the Democrat buffoons that are peeved at Justice Scalia for asking if the administration expects the Supreme Court to read the entire bill when the Democrats own leaders made comments about passing the bill to find out what's in it. Y'all remember the 100% partisan bill that Obama used back room deals and payoffs to get passed in the middle of the night. What a joke!!!

Talk about audacity...

Please explain at what point in the three posts previous to mine,#5, this became a discussion? You opened with an opinionated jab at the President, followed by three atta'boys before my counter with Santorum's stupid outright blatant lie concerning the University Of California's curriculum.
Did you really expect anyone to engage you in a discussion that went contrary to your pre-concieved beliefs about BHO?

On RTF PP?

After tonight though, it appears Santorum becomes just another footnote to 2012. If Romney becomes the Rep. candidate, I wish him success. I have been disappointed in Obama's lack of holding to a liberal agenda, and welcome the conservatives back to fail once again. I look forward to being a sharp pointed stick. JDogger

Hey zeus, maybe you missed this but I am not the one that called out the SCOTUS for discussing Constitutional law.

If your hero thinks his word as President trumps the SCOTUS and the Constitution, maybe he ain't as smart as you think he is.
This coming from a constitutional law professor??
That mind set would personify hubris.

Nice cheap shot at me though, good play!!:D

I hope it made you fell real good!!!!

And the U of C's curriculum and Rick Santorum have absolutely nothing to do with the original post. But as usual, rather than discuss the issue, you throw that out there as your contribution to the conversation. I don't need others here to agree with me. In fact, I welcome disagreement. Dissenting opinions help me develop a fuller understanding of the issues. But as far as I can tell, you never offer a dissenting opinion. You ridicule, you obfuscate and you label. You enjoy the role of "sharp pointed stick", but you don't say what you actually believe or stand for. That's both lazy and cowardly.

Leave SCOTUS do what SCOTUS does. They're the legal scholars here. They're pretty good at interpreting laws and electing presidents.
