So whether you are left or right do you think that anyone invloved whether directly or indirectly(cover up) should be fired?
I think anyone that was inlvloved in either the prostitute directly or an attempt to shut it up must be fired.
I'm sure some will get off since they rarely fire federal employees.
The guy caught downloading porn wasn't fired.

my guess, they will be given the opportunity to resign and keep their pensions, the last thing they want is an investigation, but all involved they can kiss their careers bye, or at the very least they will be in a low level desk job for the rest of their career

As a taxpayer do you think they should be allowed to keep the taxpayer funded pension? Personally I think NOT!!!
If you screw up you should loose that! As an actual federal income tax payer I would boot them with nothing!

My guess it that they will be fired or forced to resign. Secret Service Agents, especially those on Presidential Detail are usually held to a higher standard. I think they might want to make an example of those invloved as a warning to other agents.

So you hold SS agents to a higher standard than the President of the United States?

Why?, the public has never held the demorat party to a higher standard!
They fit in just swell with the "One" they have sworn to protect.

if they accrued enough time to acquire a pension, you cant take it away from them if they are terminated....now if they committted espionage or broke the law that may be a different matter...it sounds like all these people were guilty of doing is showing poor judgement, and maybe dereliction of duty...if they dont charge them with a crime then there is no basis to take away any benefits that they are eligible for, they earned it for their service, about as hazardous job as there is

As is the norm with these threads you assume the media report is correct. I would hold any comments until the investigation is complete.

However, if the investigation shows a SS agent refused to pay for services of a product that is legal in the country he is in than he is guilty of theft. That is a violation of a law.

Any other comments are speculation and therefore do not hold water.

My opinion

So because a product is legal there is no issue? How about setting themselves up to be the subject of blackmail? They were there to do a job. Protect the POTUS not get abit of tail!!!

I can tell by your language you have never been deployed to a foreign country. The only thing he did wrong, if he did, was not pay. When you are off duty your time is yours to do what you wish. If he was single than there is no problem. If he was married than that is between him, his wife and his God.

The Secret Service holds their agents to a higher standard. I'm pretty sure they don't alter that standard depending on who is in office.

Why? Because it's his job. SS agents don't get to base their behavior on whether the President is a Dem. or Repub.

And, I think the public pretty much holds both parties to the same standard. Otherwise, only one party would ever be in office.

Do you actually believe this would have happened with a republican administration? The publics perception of the two political parties is shaped by the dems media outlets;CBS,ABC,NBC,MSNBC,CNN. I really Hope the public remembers Solyndra,Shovel Ready,$5 gas,ACA,et al in November.

I am not referencing the current POTUS, I am referring to the one who disgraced my (our) Whitehouse using an intern for his satisfaction, while married, and was given a pass.

Incongruent!!!

Of course it could have happened during a Repub administration. The administration in office does not run the SS. The SS falls under the jurisdiction of Homeland Security. The House Homeland Security Committee (along with input from the Judiciary Committee) oversees the SS. I donít believe the actions of the agents in question have anything to do with either party. But, if youíre intent on assigning blame by party, please keep in mind that both committees that oversee the SS are chaired by Repubs. Maybe you should start there.

And, by the way, that whole Dem. liberal media rant has gotten little old. And, what about Fox, donít they fall on the other extreme of the spectrum? No complaints about that?

Just read that a bunch of stimulus money went to a company to make the batteries for electric cars ... a KOREAN company. And they brought in Korean workers (on work visas) to set up the new plant. How many jobs did that create?

I can tell by your response you have never been employed in law enforcement. Almost every agency has a conduct policy that applies both on and off duty, (foreign country or not), when you are off duty your time to not yours to do as you wish, police officers are often disciplined for conduct that happened off duty.

If this had happened AFTER POTUS LEFT so be it. But before?
I would think that securing the POTUS would be the only priority.

Most citizens would be more than happy were they properly disciplined for their on duty misconduct ;-).

Two U.S. military officials have said they include five Army Green Berets. One of the officials said the group also includes two Navy Explosive Ordinance Disposal technicians, two Marine dog handlers and an Air Force airman.

Mitt R. said he would fire the agents involved and suggested a lack of leadership led to the incident.

UPDATE So far 1 allowed to retire 1 resigns and 1 with over 20 years is going to be fired......

trying to make the American public forget that the average price of a gallon of gas is $3.90, or that REAL unemployment is in double digits,or that civil liberties are being infringed, and that if ACA is upheld the govt power will know no limits...and that the current POTUS is incompetent

From msn:

"Perhaps it would be in the interests of a complete and thorough and fair investigation not to make determinations about the conclusions of an investigation before they've even been reached," Carney said. "That's the president's position."

Maybe this is also what the POTUS' official position should have been with the Trayvon Martin case? And he actually probably has more facts about this case than the Martin case.

On Wed., April 25, Janet Napolitano, Secretary of Homeland Security, appeared before a hearing. She reported that they had investigated the Secret Service back 2 1/2 years and found no evidence of similar misconduct.

She stated that it would be a surprise to her if there was any.

SURPRISE. At about the same time she was testifying that Homeland Security had investigated back 2 1/2 years and found nothing, word was slowly leaking out about El Salvador.

Makes you wonder whatever happened to civil service exams ... where you actually had to pass a test of some sort to become a civil servant. Holder and Napolitano make quite a pair!!

LOL, I raised two boys and I can tell you that they seldom told Mama all that went on in their life. Younest one is a tall man now and was a taller than usual boy during grade school and high school. He said that the other boys were always challenging him to a fight because of the prestige if you "whooped" the biggest kid in your grade. He just told this recently and he was born in 1969. Took him a long time to tell us about that !

Worked for a large oil company in my younger days and the higher ups in the company seldom knew what went on out in the field ( or all the offices ).

All that said I just wonder where that lady has been all her life that she thinks she will have all the facts.
