The upcoming United Nations environmental conference on sustainable development will consider a breathtaking array of carbon taxes, transfers of trillions of dollars from wealthy countries to poor ones, and new spending programs to guarantee that populations around the world are protected from the effects of the very programs the world organization wants to implement, according to stunning U.N. documents examined by Fox News.

--More than $2.1 trillion a year in wealth transfers from rich countries to poorer ones, in the name of fostering “green infrastructure, ” “climate adaptation” and other “green economy” measures.
--New carbon taxes for industrialized countries that could cost about $250 billion a year, or 0.6 percent of Gross Domestic Product, by 2020. Other environmental taxes are mentioned, but not specified.
--Further unspecified price hikes that extend beyond fossil fuels to anything derived from agriculture, fisheries, forestry, or other kinds of land and water use, all of which would be radically reorganized. These cost changes would “contribute to a more level playing field between established, 'brown' technologies and newer, greener ones."
-- Major global social spending programs, including a "social protection floor" and "social safety nets" for the world's most vulnerable social groups for reasons of “equity.”
--Even more social benefits for those displaced by the green economy revolution—including those put out of work in undesirable fossil fuel industries. The benefits, called “investments,” would include “access to nutritious food, health services, education, training and retraining, and unemployment benefits."
--A guarantee that if those sweeping benefits weren’t enough, more would be granted. As one of the U.N. documents puts it: “Any adverse effects of changes in prices of goods and services vital to the welfare of vulnerable groups must be compensated for and new livelihood opportunities provided."

Among other countries, the report particularly lauds China as “a good example of combining investments and public policy incentives to encourage major advances in the development of cleaner technologies.”

Yes, please send us $250 billion so it can disappear in the great abyss never to be seen again.

Any kind to carbon tax is nothing more than a scam.

I think that they and us would be better served if we spent contraceptives to them even if today's Conservatives don't like that idea!;-)

Spoken unabashadly like a true progressive.:D

I know of NO conservatives against contraceptives.

Are you reffering to the revolt against the President trying (unconstitutionally) to make the Catholic Church provide them??

Big disconnect there Franco, huge.
Nice try though.
Maybe we should make Dr Ron Paul head of the UN?
He would know what to do...............

I'm talking about the prominent GOPer Santorum who not only is against contraceptives but has done a great job of rallyng women to the Dems.

I agree that Obama's mandate is unConstitutional. The Republicans could win that battle yet lose the war.

Don't underestimate the female vote and under 35 vote in winning the White House. With over a dozens states attacking abortion rights by requiring unneeded untrasounds and the attacks on Planned Parenthood, the GOP is setting themselves up for failure. The GOP message has to be about the economy, energy and domestic & foreign policy.

Just watch Romney trying to sidestep those issues by saying it is jobs that women are most concerned with. If he doesn't endorse a more moderate position, the election is lost before it even really started.

It just keeps getting better. The same UN group that wants to "redistribute" this money can't keep track of its own budget ... and we should trust them to do this kind of stuff?

From Fox News:

According to internal documents obtained by Fox News, a UNEP-administered program to protect the Mediterranean and its coasts overspent its budget by $5.1 million from 1994 to 2011 -- equivalent to about a quarter of its entire budget for 2010-2011 -- through a rudimentary accounting error that went undetected for most of the 18 years. The cumulative error punched a major hole in the program's budget.

Despite the relatively small amount of money involved -- globally, UNEP spends roughly half-a-billion dollars per year on a wide portfolio of activities -- the question of the agency's apparent inability for years to keep proper track of its own book-keeping -- or hold anyone public accountable when major blunders occur -- is of growing significance on the eve of the U.N.'s Rio + 20 summit conference on "sustainable development," slated to begin in Brazil on June 21.

Anyone want to guess how much other money went into thin air from their $500 million budget?
